So, I decided I want to become a scout, especially since I have an upcoming 5K. However, I am missing a crucial part of this equation. I need shoes, sneakers to be specific, dress shoes don't do me any justice when trying to train, in fact, I think they may be inhibiting me. I need suggestions, (COST EFFECTIVE) suggestions on a good pair of "jogging shoes?" (to be honest, not sure what they are called these days, but they need to be good for a 5K race). I ride on my heels hard, and therefore the shoe heel tends to get destroyed rather quickly. Support is important and I may find that inserts might the only solution for my issue. Thank you for helping me choose my equipment!

So, this will be a simple journal for me to keep track on just my work outs for lifting and physio. I recently saw a podiatrist for tendinitis (anterior tibialis) and some other related problems, and we created a program that I can do before all my workouts to improve all my feet/leg problems (stability, flexibility and strength). Regular Work Out Plan I will be easing into this, but this is the basic structure of what I will be working around. Goal is to follow this plan with doing my ankle routine before each workout: Ankle/Feet/Leg Routine Posterior Tibialis 3x10 (Resistance band exercises) Anterior Tibialis 3x15 Peroneal foot muscles 3x10 Calf raises 3x20 Calf stretch (knee locked) 1 minute Calf stretch (knee bent) 1 minute Toe curls 3x20 Before AND after workouts: Foam roll ~1 minute each (anterior and posterior tibialis, calves, quads, glutes, along IT band) Tennis ball massage on foot arches, 1 minute each Over the weekend, I'll be icing and resting mostly. Then I'll start all this shit Monday! Bat tax.
