  1. "You can be anything you want. You just need patience and foresight." --Derek Sivers. I have so many things I wanted to do, mostly around Travel & Draw. I draw like I breath. But, I'm surrounded by comic artists who has health problems (physical and mental), obese, lacking productivity, etc.. not everyone, but most of them. I don't want to be like that. The environment is fragile, but I still love drawing. Also, I attend a lot of comic convention, and Conventions (both as a guest or selling stuff in a booth) is sucking a LOT of energy. I want to recovered faster on the day after event. For the last 3 years, the day after event (or the whole week after event) is just me being a turtle, sleep all day inside the blanket, and catch a cold if I'm not lucky. I fall in love with travelling, especially adventure kind of travel. Hiking, trekking, diving, rock climbing, it made me feel alive. Not that I'm doing it a lot (yet!), the adrenaline pump felt great. That's the main premise of Sgeek70 Welcome! This is SGEEK70 UNDER CONSTRUCTION Season 1 of Arc 1. Goal of Arc 1 --> Build The Antifragile Habit Build strength. Manage time. Manage stamina. Find out how to keep being efficient with productivity, time, money. Season 1 goals: - Workout at least 1x a week I'm on beginner body weight workout. - Make it to Level 4 of Nerd Fitness Diet Guide I change the yoga because I think it's not something I need to fix right away. I will still doing yoga since it helped me a lot already. Diet is important. I might not tracking my foods, but I already not drinking soda nor any liquid calories. so I can just focus on leveling up to level 4. Which the requirements are: Trying to swap out grains completely at breakfast and choose high protein breakfast. - Cook The Easiest chicken ever 1x in this 4 weeks I can cook but I never use the oven lol but I just learned it because I want to learn to cook. This become a challenge because I also have to make the time to cook. But challenge accepted! - Create 1 new design to sell this month. I've procrastinate a lot on my stuffs so I need to make at least 1 on this 4 week! Scrapped goals (maybe can be used for later): And that is all. I'm aware that my biggest weakness is lacking discipline. In my old battles, I was always alone and not accountable. But not anymore. Thank you, and lets we enjoy the tale. Sgeek70
  2. So after filling out the challenge worksheet, I've prepared a whole hosts of goals and challenges for myself, and to be honest, I'm really excited about it all! I've been on a “healthy living” hype for a few weeks, and though I can already feel myself losing interest I. Hoping my first challenge will wind me right back up again. I've got a whole load of great themes and stories for my challenges, but fore my first one I'm testing the waters with some simple, straight forward challenges, keeping it clear and focused. So here we go; Eat NF diet level 5 for 4 weeks Run x 2a week (least 20 mins) Body weight cardio x 3 a week (at least 1 circuit) Sign-up to scholastic course Broken down, it's going to look a bit like this; 6 out of 7 days I'm eating a vegetable with 2 meals a day, I'm not eating bread or pasta, and I've only eaten cake or sweets twice in the month. Twice a week (8 times in total) I go for a run. Aiming for about 2 miles, but doing at least 20 mins of running, or intermittent running, each time. Using the beginners body weight workout, I'm completing 3 workouts a week, each at east 1 full circuit, but aiming for 3! Signing up to an online course I've wanted to do for a while (but constantly making excuses about, like ‘I can't afford it’, ‘I don't have the time’). But I will sign up, try to complete a least one module, and reflect on whether or not it works for me at the end of the challenge. Worst outcome is I don't find it helpful and cancel the subscription, best outcome is that it encourages me to work on my portfolio and I produce some great work because of it! But whyyyy? Honestly, I want to be happy and healthy (don't we all?)) I want to feel good in my skin, I want to feel strong, I want to be able to do activities like canoeing and skiing and surfing, without the fear that I'll be worn out just 20 mins in. Also, another important thing for me is to become more productive and less lethargic. I want to chase my personal and professional dream, rather than deciding they are 'too hard' and retreating back to sofa with a bag of crisps... My over-arching goals are to: Get lean and strong (losing 10lbs, and reassessing from there) Create a strong portfolio of work Get organised Good luck everyone starting your first challenge here!
  3. Hey guys! For those of you whom I did not meet in my introduction post, I'm Ratynda. I'm a recent college graduate (almost a year now! ) and adult life has given me the opportunity to re-evaluate a lot of perspectives I had in college and even before. Historically, I settled for the middle road and only kept a normal amount of effort up in school, work, relationships, and exercise. With this new opportunity, I want to turbo-charge my efforts in developing myself in these areas and more. I've been particularly stressed lately about my career path, as I never really was able to bring myself to decide on one and that fact, combined with my current miserable job that I got very shortly after my graduation, have made for a very anxiety-ridden past few months. Some of the career ideas that I have involve a lot more presence and a lot less shyness than my current, level-one self has, so In making my challenge, I want to address a selection of these issues at once. First and foremost though, comes my health! Main Quest: Develop discipline and overcome shyness, while contributing to my larger goal of finding a calling My First Goals: 1. Perform structured weightlifting workouts twice a week and one yoga session a week 2. Apply for two new jobs 3. Find time to stream a game online, with or without friends, twice 4. Reach out to 3 new people that I wouldn't have before For my first challenge, I want to keep the goals simple and realistic to follow, then build from there. These are small things I can do that will force me to take strides in things I am uncomfortable with. Can't wait to see my results!
  4. I know I am late to the party a bit and I hope that's still okay! I just joined up and will be working on This challenge run! I'm looking forward to getting to know people on here, hopefully I can find some folks in Chicago to help me on this adventure! I hope these goals are flushed out enough and meet the requirements for this group! Over the next 4 weeks I want to complete the Beginner Bodyweight Workout Cook 3 times a week instead of ordering in Walk through 1 new part of my city each week Get through my Software Engineer Training Program I am hoping through these 4 weeks to get a solid foundation to start my progress through this journey! Thank you all for the support in this! Izy
