Hiya, I'm late but I'm so ninja-like none of you guys noticed, right? I have a doctor's note though. "Dear Assassins Guild and others following the journey of Hooded-Warrior, Hooded-Warrior was absent for the first week of his challenge due to a bad case of gastro contracted over the weekend of the 7th-9th June whilst at State Youth Games that came into effect over the following days. As she could not even keep down water I think this is a valid excuse and not an excusey-excuse. Having recovered I have deemed her fit to pick up the challenge this week. Sincerely yrs, Doctor McDoctorson." Okay so I made the doctor up but it really is where I was last week. Before I contracted gastro from a fellow camper I managed to play a full weekend of sport though, ultimate frisbee and volleyball were the sports I personally participated in, (as well as street art but that's not a sport-sport per se). It was brilliant, mud-filled and cold. Now I'm ready to pick up the challenge. MAIN GOAL: The overall goal at the moment is body recomposition (weightloss). I have an overall goal of being under 70 kilos and I'm currently 11.4 kilos away from reaching that. It won't be this challenge obviously, but a few down the track. Mini-quests 1. BWW 2 or 3 times a week. Modded as necessary to maintain challenge. 2. Intentional cardio 3 times a week. Since it's winter it could be things like riding the exercise bike since that means that I don't have to be outside if it rains. But I'm also looking at beginner parkour classes in the city (my sister started them two weeks ago and is really loving them). 3. The splits. After each cardio and weights session I will stretch, and I will include the splits in this. Since I'm older now it's going to take longer to get back to the flexibility I had when I did calisthenics for nine years but I want to see how bendy I can get again.

Just making a space to document all my out-of-challenge times. Especially since I need to do a make-up few weeks from my first challenge because reasons. Today: con: did partake of sugary junk food. Pro: went for a two (count 'em, two) hour walk with my sister this evening. We just started out to do a block after dinner but each time we almost got back to my place we'd look at each other as go "I don't wanna stop yet" and we'd head off and do another block in a different direction. We had the best talk, too. I love my sister heaps and heaps; she's amazing.
