  1. Ooh, look at me - on time for once! (I would have said I was 8 minutes early, but this post actually took way longer than I thought it would...eh, whatever, I'm actually posting on the first day of a challenge so since this is ME we're talking about, it's a win.) Not much has happened (physical health wise) and yet, a LOT has happened (mental/social/emotional health wise). Maybe that’s why I lost and gained…or fluctuated…between 1 and 6 pounds in the last challenge…which I wrote in my notes on my phone, meant to post it, and then never did (so I'm not counting this as a respawn, hope that's okaaay) – and with a ton of mild adulthood stuff going on, I don’t really know where to go from here. What I DO know is that I now have a whole bunch of wellness programs going and I’m probably stretching myself out too thin…then I went and got a job after three months of unemployment and not leaving my house, so the anxiety should hit nice and strong this month. But, instead of quitting them all and then picking and choosing and wasting more time trying to figure out what the heck I’m doing, for the rest of 2021 I’m going to simplify as much as I can. So, here’s what I got this month: 1) Make a vision board for 2022 with my New Year resolutions. After the holidays I’ll make it my desktop wallpaper so I see it every day (we’ll see if that helps). (Steps = watch 1-2 Skillshare videos to help and plan / figure out resolutions / put inspirational pictures based on those resolutions together / make it your background at the end of this challenge) 2) I’ve had dermatillomania since I was a teenager, and with a milestone birthday coming up, I want to make this the last year of having it. I enrolled in a Habit Reversal Training program last month, then kinda fell off the wagon, so I want to finish it by Christmas (hopefully), and (again, hopefully), I’ll start to break this habit. (Steps = review Week 3 chapter / complete Week 3 / do Week 4 homework / complete Week 4 / put all notes together into one notebook to evaluate and reflect whenever I need to in the future) 3) To get ready for in-person dance rehearsals (which I’m PRAYING will be put off a bit longer because although our troupe leader reeeeeeally wants us to restart practicing in person, COVID is still running rampant ‘round these parts), I’m going to review moves at least 2 times a week for about 5-10 minutes and/or run through the length of one performance-length song (as of today, my benchmark is 3 minutes). Bonus: for my For Health and Home wellness program, I can’t lose more than four lives this month. It’ll be hell, but…it’ll be worth it? (Total score = 12 / 15) Ooh, look at me making a tracking system this time. (I needed something to keep me coming back to this forum and actually update my progress, so...here it be.) Yay, I did it, I did a thing. Cue midnight snack time and paying for it tomorrooooow~ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Update (Dec. 5): kinda became obsessed with the vision board and probably spent way more time on it than I should have...but it's done **Update (Dec. 13): wow, almost halfway on my points. Good job, Past Me. The dance practice came slightly easier than I thought it would (yay) but due to big-@$$ life stuff I bailed on rehearsal last week...aaaaaand just got an email asking if I want to do a one-on-one thing this week (because the other two dancers in the group can't make it) or just extend my holiday. I gotta do what I gotta do. As for the program, I slacked off, but it turns out Week 4 is pretty much a repeat of Week 3 sooooo I hope that's not cheating! (Also the FH&H is getting hard as crap, so of course I lost a freaking life. Can't wait for it get impossible when my job starts.) **Update (intentional post date Dec. 26 I'm looking back on this challenge and feeling mildly impressed at how I did overall. Not bad, Future Cherry_Bomb, not bad)
  2. It's the last chapter of 2016.... shall we do our best to make it a good one and end on a high note together? <3 Balance Restore Energize Accomplish Transform Humor Engage Welcome back nerds, rebels, and friends, for another round of Project B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Fitness is first and foremost a very physical thing and often the mental and emotional aspects of our life journeys, Epic quests, and everyday challenges become pushed aside or shoved to the back burner, sometimes without us even realizing it. A lot of Rebels seem to struggle with the junkier aspects of life - stress, anxiety, depression, lots of conflicting emotions and mental hurdles. (Um, self included!) I think a lot of people - again, self included - don’t like to always dump this stuff out in their challenges or battle logs because it’s... well, just hard. We feel like we’re always complaining or whining or just being negative or pessimistic all the time, that no one wants to read about our struggles, or that we’re bothering people with our troubles and concerns... but that’s just not true. Life is HARD, y’all. It takes a great deal of vulnerability to lay our struggles out for the world to see. If we can support ourselves through our physical changes then we should be able to support each other’s quests for good mental health and well-being, too! And sometimes all it takes is another person’s perspective - another person that’s not mired down in your head and thoughts 24/7 - to shine a different light on things that may seem otherwise impossible. I’d like this group to be a place where people can: Come and vent openly about any struggles they’re encountering in their lives, anytime, regardless of whether it’s just to vent and get things off their chest or seek advice and suggestions from others. Come to support and motivate others that are struggling, whether it be with a shared experience, motivation, or advice. Share not only your struggles but your victories too; defeating a mental dragon is HUGE, and you deserve applause and recognition for overcoming your own battles! Find kindness and compassion from others in a judgement-free zone. Feel welcome and know that they are not alone in their mental and emotional struggles. As the weeks go on I’ll facilitate some group questions and discussions too, to keep the good energy flowing. I hope you can find this to be a helpful and comfy space, and if anyone has any suggestions or questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!! For the Rebellion!

  4. Balance Restore Energize Accomplish Transform Humor Engage The original Project: B.R.E.A.T.H.E accountability group was started by @Kelliestrasza at the start of 2016. I’d really like to bring it back into the spotlight and hope we Rebels as a whole can start to cultivate this space as an open, productive, and supportive system. <3 Fitness is first and foremost a very physical thing and often the mental and emotional aspects of our life journeys, Epic quests, and everyday challenges become pushed aside or shoved to the back burner, sometimes without us even realizing it. 5. This is the last KH themed challenge. Hurry up, KH3! MAIN QUEST: Get to my goal weight and be able to defend myself in the (unlikely) event of an attack. How is this already my fourth challenge?? Welp, let's get to it, shall we? QUEST 1: Run Away from Master Xehanort (+3 STA) Let’s be real: Master Xehanort is creepy as hell. You don’t want him anywhere near you, and since he’s got that fucking darkness teleport thing going on, you need to be able to run. A lot. Because if he catches you? Well, let’s just say I don’t have any extra emotional bandwidth for a roommate. CHALLENGE: Train for my 10M by running at least 2x a week (the week after the 10M doesn't count because owww). (Allowable mileage is contingent on what the PT says.) This can be an outdoor run or a treadmill run. A: 2 runs B: 1 run C: 0 runs QUEST 2: Listen to Rhyme (+2 WIS, +2 STR, +2 DEX) This kid is pretty damn smart. She knows what she’s talking about. Her brother might be a moron, but he’s only around because Rhyme has kept his ass from overdoing it and having Josh erase him. So, it might behoove me to listen to her, too. CHALLENGE: Do PT recommended stretches/exercises/workout modifications PASS: Followed PT’s directions FAIL: Did not follow PT’s directions QUEST 3: Aqua is a Badass(+2 CON) Aqua is the most badass character in the entire series (except, maybe, Riku), and you know what her name means? Water. You know what I’m slacking on lately? Water. Since Aqua is a badass, I also know she’d be disappointed if this keyblade master-in-training dehydrated herself. Whoops. CHALLENGE: Drink 24oz of a water daily A: 24oz drunk B: 12 oz drunk C: 6oz drunk LIFE QUEST: Find My Redemption (+2 WIS, +2 CHA) Riku just wanted to get off the island, have adventures. He didn’t mean for any of the shit that went down to happen. He didn’t mean to turn to the dark - he thought he was helping Sora and Kairi. And then he ran away because he couldn’t face what he’d done. I get this. I’ve got a lot of issues. Like, a lot. Most of them are emotional-based. I tend to shy away from strong emotional bonds or attachments because I tend to get burned. It’s not a fun or pleasant feeling. Riku seems to be getting his happy ending; it’s about time I do, too. CHALLENGE: Log my emotional state (in this thread, in a PM with someone, or in a journal) 3x a week A: 3 days logged B: 2 days logged C: 1 day logged Point breakdown: STR : 2 DEX : 2 STA : 3 CON : 2 WIS : 4 CHA : 2 REWARDS: I don't think I'm going to do rewards this go around. For those following starsapart, you know we're trying to buy a house. That's a lot of money. House (when we get it) or pregnancy (when that happens) can be my reward for a while. MOTIVATION: Hit that goal weight! I’m so. Freaking. Close. And the better my weight, the better the odds of conception! Don’t be afraid when I’m running on the streets because damn are people creepy! Actually start to deal with your emotional issues because the constant ups and downs are exhausting! (Pictures and measurements will be added tomorrow since I decided to give zero fucks and just ate half of a pizza, a bunch of cheese stuffed bread, and I'm thinking about cookies and milk because yasss) Before pictures: Measurements: Neck: 13.4" Chest: 36.5" Waist: 32.3" Hips: 41.4" Thigh: R: 24.2" L: 23.5" Calf: R: 16" L: 15.8" Bicep: R: 11.4" L:11.5" Weight: 159lbs Dress/pants size: 8
