I am late as usual but I won't let that become another excuse to procrastinate. I used to be a personal trainer, hiker of forests, practitioner of chi gung and tai chi, mountain biker, climber of big hills just because they were there, hunter, and Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP). I am now a father and a man who works/travels a lot. I have lots of excuses for how I fell out of shape. I am tired of thinking about what I want to be or what I used to think I was, and I am ready to go and get it. I like what you do here, Steve and Team. You inspire so many, including me. So here goes..... My main Quest: I want to lose weight and get strong so that I feel and look better. I want more energy, and to keep up with my kids as they get older. My first challenge (starting 4/20/2015):I will lose 10 lbs by the end of my challenge (6 weeks) I will exercise 3 times a week for 6 weeks (body weight train) Meditate 3 times a week or more No drinking of beer during the week (man is that full of calories!)This is my first challenge and I am looking forward to y'all keeping me honest (yes I said y'all). Rock on!

Toes on the edge, staring at the waves crashing below. The wind whispers "jump." Legs tighten and he jumps... Hey everyone this is my first challenge and first post all in one! Your right down to business: Health/exercise goal 1: 300 spartan exercise routine. I am going to do the routine no fewer times than 3X a week. I am really bad about losing motivation and sticking with what I started so this challenge will make me finish what I started. Diet goal 2: no soda,no salt, reduce caffeine when possible and drink water! Im not to bad as far as soda is concerned its more of a caffein addiction. I also put salt on everything and am really bad about drinking water. So there it is more water less caca. Life skill goal 3: bi/tri lingual My wife speaks spanish, I have wanted to learn but am pretty lacking on the motivation front My goal is to learn enough to go a full day and speak only spanish with her. Not to mention My children really need to learn and it will be easier if both parents spoke it. Yep I have 2 little monsters Side goal learn to be more fluent in american sign language. Anyway wish me luck everyone!
