Hey guys and gals, So I've always been a jack of all trades in life, always jumping around to different interests and never quite sticking with any one. I'm fortunate enough to have a good education and a job that can at least give me the income to pay the bills and let me try some new things, but I have always struggled with finding my true calling. I have always known this was a temporary job and didn't know how to make my way out of it. Around the time I started reading Level Up your Life and discovering the community here, something in me clicked into place and told me to wake up, that I deserve better than a job that makes me miserable. While this has been a huge blessing, It's a double edged sword. I have boundless energy, but it always feels as though I can't decide a path to direct it, like a car spinning its wheels in the mud. I desparately want to find something that is my true calling, and while I've been able to eliminate a lot of options, I still get lost in a sea of choices often when I think about it. So I thought I'd poll you guys for some advice. For those of you who know what your calling is, how did you find out? And for those who are still looking, what steps are you taking to find it?

Alright Scouts, announcement time. After much deliberation and review of threads and wrap-ups and appropriate background checks (not really, but imagine if we had interviewed your friends and family for this right?) Hey there guys. Sorry if I'm making the guild hall a little bit more crowded with it, but I couldn't figure out how to add a poll on to my topic as it was. I do apologize and will attempt to improve my mastery further. For those of you who haven't followed my challenge thread, I'm trying to keep myself writing. This is not easy, because I want to write a bunch of different things, and it's hard to figure out how exactly to keep momentum going on any one project. That said, I've done okay so far having done an article and a short story. Now it's time for me to begin work on a novel. I have a bunch of drafts from having done National Novel Writing Month, so churning out the words isn't the problem. The problem is that I lack the discipline to stay with any one project because, as I said, I keep trying to do everything. So I wanted to ask for some help and get some accountability from my fellow Monks, and anyone else who happens to be visiting. Thanks to some preliminary research from some RL friends of mine, I've managed to narrow it down to three possible stories. I could work well with any of them, so all that's left is to figure out what is most exciting to you, the readers! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm a writer. I love talking about my work. Anything to keep me from actually doing it.
