  1. Today's my first day in the Rebellion and I thought logging my journey made sense! Checkout my introduction: http://nerdfitnessrebellion.com/index.php?/topic/29045-total-newb-joining-the-rebellion-despite-my-crazy-hours/ I hope to provide inspiration to everyone out there who thinks they don't have enough time to make a change because of their crazy schedules. When I graduated from grad school last week, I realized that crazy hours were about to become the norm for at least the next 6 years, if not much longer. The excuse of not having enough time was officially gone. Now I have 2.5 weeks to get my act together before I start 80 hour work weeks... for the next 6 years. The next 6 week challenge is perfectly timed! Here's what I'm thinking for my initial goals: 1) Log my food every day. I'm already pretty good at this but I know I'm horrible when life gets busy. 2) Maintain at least a 250 calorie deficit daily. 3) Eat no more than 180 g of carbohydrates daily. I currently use MyFitnessPal to track my calories and it's default is 197 g of carbohydrates right now. I definitely go over that amount regularly. Figured I'd slowly lower this amount with progressive challenges. 4) Workout at least 150 minutes throughout a week, can be split anyway between strength and cardio as long as both are represented. ~Sruthi
