  1. Hello, I am Arcelas, a former warrior from WoW. I have been transported to the real world by dark magic. I need another Orc to keep me on the warrior path. Online is fine. I'm trying to eat less and swing more comically enormous hammers.
  2. I'm training for Ultimate Beastmaster season 3, and looking for a training partner in or near Idaho Falls. The video submission application deadline to is still TBD so we have time to get ninja-ripped. There will be a lot of climbing, pull-ups, plyometrics and agility/speed work.   3. I had second thoughts about this post of mine looking for a fitness buddy. I think I'm "drinking the koolade" a little by completing a NF quest that asks me to partner up with people for accountability and motivation. I don't REALLY need this part. I figure if I naturally run into somebody that seems like a good person to team up with, then maybe I'll do it. But actually I've tried it already and it was a pain in the ass to get anybody to meet on a regular basis, or commit to much of anything at all. We had 3 gym meet-ups and it sorta petered off. In the end, I feel like I'm expending more energy that I get back from it. So I'm not going to push to co-mingle my fitness goals with other peoples'. Original "ad" content below deleted.   4. Hi, I've been a lurker here on NF for a couple of years now. I've been trying to step up my involvement because I know that being more involved/having more like-minded friends will probably help me to my goals (and it's always good to know more fitness-minded nerds!). However, I kinda suck at keeping in touch/keeping up with the forums, and my fitness and nutrition journeys are both rollercoaster-like in my ability to keep at them. What I would love is someone who I can message frequently who will kick my ass into gear (nicely) who I can similarly encourage and motivate. I'm interested in paleo (ish) eating, lifting and yoga, and my gym also has heaps of high-intensity classes designed to lose weight, and a bunch of strength classes to improve form. I want to change my mindset from someone who's all or nothing (I lost 9 kilos in 6 weeks recently, but failed to keep the momentum going and have almost put it all back on again already) to someone with a healthy lifestyle who can occasionally eat off-plan without being completely derailed. I'm 24, female, and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I want to make 2016 my year. Can anyone help me out?
  5. Good God it's been cold out there x.x" Hihi! So, like most people, I've fallen into the trap of wakeup, feed pets, go to work, eat, come home, feed pets, go to bed. I take COTA everywhere and catch up on Netflix and Crunchyroll on my 1.75 hr ride (one way) to work and back home. Here's the thing, other than 80.00 phone bill, 62.00 bus pass, 60.00 electric bill, 380.00 rent, and 100.00/month for pet food/kitty litter, and ramen, I have no other bills. Yet, due to not knowing anyone with similar interests in Columbus, OH, I waste money left and right and somehow find myself behind on rent and electric when I make 1200.00 a month! Seriously, wtf?! As you can see, I have a serious problem with Discipline. I'm looking for a friend who is that Asshole friend who will call me on my BS when I go: "hmm, running low on gems on my Shop Heroes/other useless game app, lemme buy the 100.00 package~" "Bad Day" -eat out- "Good Day" -eat out- "Bored out of mah MIND" -eat out- "Breathing" -eat out- But dude, you gotta love movies, gaming, and have that over the top personality that'll keep me pumped and looking forward to gym time with ya! Please note, I give what I request. I will be that over the top friend that will also keep you pumped and call you out on your slacker default settings! That completely blunt friend who loves ya and will sit down and use quiet, cutting logic when all the excuses to fail surface. This is what I need someone to do for me too. I've been going it alone for a very long time now. Always that person who never needed a safety net. But ya know what? My fondest and deepest wish every birthday since I was 4, when I blew out those candles... was to have a partner in crime to share my adventures with. At the age of 37, this still has not changed. My rent and electric will be caught up in a month. After that, I'm want to join a gym with fellow Columbus, OH NF members. Humans were meant to be social. So, who's the local Columbus faction? Let's Do This! *My Very First Milestone will be when I call Uber every Sat to take my dog Kobe out running in those awesome ninja feet thingies on our multiple wilderness run areas. I figure Ohio's bi-polar weather will be a lil less extreme by the time I'm able to do this!
  6. Hi friends! I'm looking for an online sidekick (or multiple sidekicks)! I would love to just chat, encourage, and keep each other accountable. I'm new to the forum, but a longtime Nerd Fitness fan. Here's some stuff about me: 20 Years Old College StudentMarvel Comics fan (been reading them since I was 6 years old!) Some Other Things I Love: Doctor Who, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Firefly, Sherlock, and DisneyHobbies: Musical Theatre, animation, and cooking. I know, I'm weird. My fitness goals/info: I'm trying to gain muscle and stamina. Losing weight isn't a huge need for me - I'm an "Elf" looking to become an "Assassin". But I'd be totally okay with shedding a few pounds! I have been on a Paleo diet for 2 years. (I'm allergic to gluten and lactose intolerant, so it kind of made sense. ) I have tons of paleo recipes and tips if you're looking to join the club!I'd LOVE to get into parkour, but haven't figured out how yet. What I'm looking for in sidekicks: People who want to work together and motivate each other to reach our goals and be healthy. Gender doesn't matter. (Although I especially love to meet other SuperWomen!) Similar health goals would be great, but is definitely not a necessity. I prefer people around my own age. (18-25ish) Would be good with e-mail/forum/pm conversation. Just wants to make friends and get fit!Sorry I know that's a lot! lol But if you're interested, just let me know.   7. Hey All!! I'm looking for a Rebel supporter/sidekick that either works at Nissan North America in Smyrna or knows someone who can provide me with support and accountability in getting back into a healthier way of doing things. I've slipped pretty bad over the past few months and while I'm not un-fit I'm not where I had hoped to be. I work afternoon shift on the Truck Line so if you can help or know someone who can help I'd be oh so grateful. I find that getting back on track is easier when I have someone besides myself to hold me to my promises. My family doesn't get it and most of my zone co-workers look at me like I've grown multiple heads when the healthy foods start showing themselves in my lunch box so it would be great to have someone like minded I could go to when I'm tempted to fall off the resolve wagon or need just a nudge in the right direction.   8. Hi all, I'm looking for an accountabilibuddy... someone to email or text with, someone to talk fitness with, and someone to cheer me on as I cheer them on! My fitness interests include yoga, hiking, dance, strength-training, and pretending that I'm running from zombies. I am working up to bodyweight strength-training, but I'm pretty limited with that at the moment. My other interests include be competitive, killing things in video games, playing music / singing, acting and making art. Bonus points if you live in New England!
  9. Hey all, I have a membership to 24 hr Fitness and am looking for a workout buddy. I prefer the Northgate gym as it's nicer. I can workout in the mornings or evenings. I would love someone who prefers to split their workouts 1/2 cardio, 1/2 weights/strength training. I would also like someone who's focused on eating healthy as I really need some accountability with that. I'm a 32 yr old female. I don't care if my sidekick is male or female.
  10. Hey guys, My name is Erin and I'm in Melbourne, Australia. I am 22 years old and have, in the past few years, gone on a bit of a roller coaster in my health/fitness life. I've tried a lot of things and fallen off many many wagons. I'm currently trying to convince myself that slower is better, that every healthy choice helps, and that consistence and persistence are key. I would love to have a buddy I can text with my tiny milestones (I didn't eat a cupcake today! I went to sleep on time last night! I just walked an extra tram stop!) and who can text me back with encouragements and rallying cries to help me when I'm feeling down or losing my determination. I would love to do the same for someone else in a similar situation, and would love someone in Australia so I can text you for free (I have a limited budget as I am a student and work in hospitality) Help me!

  12. Hi! I am looking for someone to help me stay motivated and even perhaps train with. I am 30 yrs old, coming back from not doing weights for a fair few years. I was really active in my twenties. Judo, Aikido and wrestling. I live on Barry Island , South Wales, UK but will be moving to Pentyrch very soon. I am doing weights in the backyard 6 days a week 5.30 am start, cardio maybe 2-3 a week and throwing in some yoga. I work 12.5 hour shifts so 5.30 starts or 6.30 in the gym at work. I have lost about 14 lbs since January and would like to lose another 14 lbs. I work as an MRI tech. I am interested in parkour, movies, video games and dc/marvel. I am taking on a paleo lifestyle. I have just bought a resistance band to help me increase my pull up reps. I am just getting over an injury. I managed to get a back spasm which the physio says is due to tight hamstrings and perhaps dodgey form on some of my lifts. I am hopefully back to training next week after a frustrating rest. I am up for just texting to keep / you me motivated as my schedule is hectic and my phone has decide not to connect to wifi anymore. If you are interested, give me a shout. Wolfie
  13. I'm looking for a female side-kick. Nothing against you males but the husband probably wouldn't be too happy about that I like running, but a mile and a half is my current limit. I'm up for any type of fitness, really. I really want to climb the white tank mountains. I'm into traditional archery(I even have a spare bow), ride horses, and I love blogilates- she looks girly but boy are those workouts killer. I want to be super strong in the nerdiest way possible. My ultimate goal is fast-shooting on horseback. I'm a mom, house-wife and a book-worm. Lets conquer this desert! Death to Cacti!

  15. Hi rebels! I am so excited to be joining such a great cause! A bit about myself: I am a student in the USA, and have always wanted to be skinny and healthy, but have never quite found the time to actually work towards my goal. That all changed a few days ago when I found this website. For the first time in my life, I am fired up about healthy eating and living and not just looking for a quick fix. I can't wait to begin this journey with all of my fellow rebels! My main goal for the next three months or so is to drop down to a light, healthy weight and stay there, primarily to benefit my track season (but the confidence boost will be nice too!). Right now I weigh 131 lbs and am looking to drop to anywhere from 105 to 120 lbs, depending on which weight makes me feel healthiest and most confident. My main long term goal is to feel gorgeous and confident in my own skin 100% of the time, and most importantly to form healthy habits that will last a lifetime. If anyone out there is looking for a friend or sidekick for this journey, I'd be happy to join you. It would be wonderful to have someone to motivate and to be motivated by when times get tough.   16. Looking for someone to help me through this on-line community thing. I am an "old school" nerd (studying instead of going out and having fun) I was a nerd before computers took over the world. I get most things on the NF but this is the first time I have ever joined an on-line community. I am a bit nervous, but this is part of the journey, doing new things and being comfortable with going out of your comfort zone!
  17. Hi everyone, On July 25th, I had hip surgery to reshape my acetabulum and femoral neck, in addition to repairing a torn labrum. This is my second hip surgery, the first being four years ago to repair a torn labrum. People always look at me odd when I tell them I've had hip surgery twice, since I'm only 28 years old. Luckily, both procedures were orthoscopic, so I was able to get on my feet pretty quickly. I'm hoping someone who is also recovering from this sort of injury would like to be sidekicks with me. It is easy to get frustrated by the limitations of what I'm able to do, doing an hour of physical therapy exercises a day and not feeling like I'm making any progress towards weight loss or general strength, and setbacks, such as this past weekend when my leg got caught climbing off a stationary bike, resulting in pain and having to stop even PT exercises for over a week. After my last surgery, I was never back to 100%, and activities like running or hiking over rough terrain were out of my reach. Whenever a workout plan called for jumping jacks, I had to figure out a workaround. This time, I'm determined to get back to the point where I can do any activity I want.   18. I'm looking for a pen pal(s) who wants to lose weight/ better than themselves. I'd like to be able to share information or at least provide support for each other. I'm not overly obsessed with losing "weight" but more of size dropping. I am size 10-12 trying to reach about size 6, or 132 lb either's good. ;} My biggest goal is summer (2014) I'll be heading to Germany for work (hard labor), and to rl meet my bf. I am also a cross player/transgender, this means trying to be taller and more flat with a small waist. So my workout may need to be different than my partner(s). I can use: IMVU, text, Gmail, or perhaps a way suggested by my partner.

  20. Hey all, I'm looking for a person (or people) to keep accountable with, online only works as well. I do a lot of exercise classes and am now trying to get into weightlifting, body weight exercises, and so on. I find that with weights I'm very ignorant, though I am trying to rectify that, and am worried about hurting myself. I also get tired really easily or get caught up with other things (I'm a husband and a father, my time isn't as free as I'd like) and tend to make excuses for myself about why I can't exercise. So if you'd like to exercise and have someone help you keep accountable as well as vice-versa, let me know. We could even form a small group of accountability partners.
