Spartacus has always been my favorite person who rebelled, apart from Marilyn Manson I am here to rebel against the old me. The me that is not good enough. I am going to become the best version of myself I can. I am a woman who has very low self esteem but I have joined the legions of brothers and sisters at NerdFitness to become a better, fitter and more confident person. True, I am no gladiator, but I will be bathed in the glory of victory. Victory against the fat, lazy, unmotivated, old me. Plus I have full intentions of looking hot naked. But that will just be a bonus Some stuff about me, I'm 5ft 6', 144 pounds last time I checked...although I did get through an entire easter egg today... Not got the best diet ( I eat too much chocolate, the curse of being a woman), I like to cycle 10 miles every weekend, I actually do sword fight in my spare time (not professionally) and I play guitar (not very well). Does air guitar count as exercise? I can go for an hour at a time and end up dripping with sweat, I have a set list and everything...Maybe I should have kept that to myself... Anyway, pleasure to join you all after lurking for too long!

Hey guys, I've dropped the weight training as I've noticed i'm becoming unfit, and my workouts were inconsistent. I haven't done any aerobic or cardio exercises properly since September as I was following the stronglifts 5x5 program, requiring me to eat, eat and eat. As work and life came in the way I couldn't consistently workout 3 times a week, as I required barbells and heavy weights. I've decided to follow the Spartacus program (for those who do not know they can google). Normally Spartacus is done with 60 seconds per station. I decided to use a Spartacus app that allowed me to do 30 seconds stations. AND IT KICKED MY BUTT! I did the circuit twice, tried a third time but gave up halfway. I was wiped out. I had even done 5 sets of pullups before I started the circuits, so perhaps that took some energy from me. My goals are to get in shape by doing this circuit 3 times in a workout, 3 times a week - for about the next 8 or 12 weeks, aiming to lose about 5kgs (i'm weighing at about 88kgs). After that I'd want to add on some lean muscle, probably through bodyweight training or push-pull split routine (I'll decide that later) I have a few questions regarding the Spartacus workout and other general questions: 1. As I'd like to keep a bit of my upper body strength up, I want to continue doing pullups - should I just restrict myself to 3 sets? I can only do about 3-4 reps max at the moment. 2. One of the moves is the T-pushup in Spartacus - does it mean I swivel my whole body into the shape (feet on top of each other?) 3. My core is a weak spot - should I do one or two exercises after the Spartacus workout? Thanks in advance guys!
