  1. Littlewings & Terinatum say hi and thank you for giving Sugar Slayers a chance. What to expect: Your goals are your own. We will not decide them for you or judge them. You do not have to decide on a strict elimination goal or a step-down plan. We are here to accept that sugar has a damaging place in your life and we are willing to undertake the condition of change. We hope that you can word your goal in the usual SMART fashion as it's so much easier to see how we've done when we look back. During the challenge, we will help you out: give suggestions, celebrate with you, support you during the hard times, post information and links that may help, and listen to the fun and sad moments that will likely make an appearance during this time. The requirements: Check in at least once per week. Post to others, post to at least 2 other Slayers per week. Judge your own work: do not be harsh with yourself. Judging your work is vital. It ensures that the truth will be visible, successes will be acknowledged and celebrated, and changes needed when dealing with a new way of being with yourself will not be hidden under self-doubt and fear. Together we are strong enough for any challenge. Our goal: We hope to help you create good habits around sugar consumption. Whether it's eliminating sugar completely or keeping sugar in your regular diet to a certain degree. We want to learn to manage sugar consumption with wise intent so we can minimize the internal struggle from our brains, emotions, and old, unquestioned beliefs. The challenge with our sugar-addicted brain and emotional-eating heart will be bumpy, frustrating, but very well worth it. Terinatum: "I want to be able to choose what I put in my mouth instead of doing the unconscious, emotional eating I have been doing for years. I also want to lose weight so I need to watch how much sugar I eat." Littlewings: "I want to avoid sugar as best I can and especially when going out, to not let friends pressure me into eating things that I know will blindside my goals (ie, when the roommate bakes cupcakes.) I need to slightly lower my carb intake, except post-work out, and keep my diet clean so I can be healthier and lower my body fat percentage a little bit." How about you? First Step: make a post explaining what you want to attain regarding Sugar Slaying -including any levels of accomplishment that would be acceptable to you. We will likely come across emotional details that have been in our way for some time. Feel free to talk about these as it will help others see your path more clearly and once shared, it could be easier to manage. So, there you have it. Let's get started!
