  1. I'm signing up for the Warrior Dash September 28 in New Kent, VA. Would love to have some peeps to run with! http://www.warriordash.com/register.php?loc=Virginia&yr=2013
  2. Hello all! I'm sure most of you are aware of the Warrior Dash, an obstacle course that's similar to Tough Mudder. I'm doing the WD in August in NJ. I've also signed up to be a St. Jude Volunteer! I'm raising money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where doctors and researchers look for cures to help out sick children. If you want to donate, please click this link. It will take you to my fundraising page where there's more information about St. Jude and the charity. If anyone else is a volunteer, link you pages in this thread! Let's do it for the kids!
  3. I am officially signed up to run in the 4:30 time slot in Kansas City on April 27th!! This is my very first Warrior Dash.. hell.. it's my very first official 5k! HA! This is what I've been training myself for and pushing myself towards with the current 6 week challenge. Building up muscle and endurance in an effort to DOMINATE THIS THING!! Any other Rebels going? Strife and I are going down together, but it'd be neat to meet some other people from the Rebellion. So excited!
  4. Hey guys so after signing up for my first 6 week challenge and joining the rangers my friend ( who has no idea im taking the challenge) asks me to do the warrior dash with him!!! ( check it out here: THE DASH!) Basically it is a 5km dash with obstacles along the way, i have exactly a month to get ready for it and it is a good measure of how close to my goal i will be 2 weeks before the challenge ends ( comfortably running 7km) So i was just wondering if anyone has done the dash or anything like it? any tips or advice for the day and training leading up to it? cant wait for the mud SheriT
  5. Hello, Rebels! My name is Adam and I'm a 28 year old gamer/rpg/anime/card games sort of nerd (and very proud of it!) Until very recently I spent most of my time sitting and watching the shiny picture box cast it's spell of Mesmerizing Pixels. Sometimes I'd lie around and read a book for hours on end.. and very very rarely, I would wander out in the timber. I LOVE climbing trees, walking across narrow things, and generally pretending I'm a ninja. Despite my love for such things, I lack almost ANY sort of motivation. Then, just a week or so ago, my best friend invited me to do something that I honestly can not wait for: Warrior Dash. Apparently, he and his wife did it last year and had an absolute blast. He showed me the website and we looked at the obstacles that possible awaited us while running this 5k. He got me all worked up about it and I decided that I NEEDED to do this. He also directed me to this website for motivation and planning and for that I am super grateful! I'd like to formally thank Nerd Fitness for getting me motivated to do something to better my life because it has been a LONG time since I've felt this. I have a tendency to get excited about something and then sort of just forget about it a week later. But with this, I feel different. I'm setting clear goals, reading inspiring and informative articles, and getting support from my friend. I started the Angry Birds workout as a first step on my path to Warrior Dash and I am going to kick it's ass! Who knows, maybe after I build a little muscle, I will actually be able to start working on one of my life goals: learning parkour.
