  1. Balancing the primal side, which thinks simple, base, emotional (sometimes violent) thoughts, and the evolved side, which thinks sustainible, healthy, inherent good thoughts. While both sides can be kind and caring, the flavour and tone of self-talk varies dramatically. I am both sides. I have both sides. And I don't think it will ever fully change, and that's good, because I don't want to lose either of those ways of thinking and feeling. So for the next little bit, which I imagine will be a bit rough in places, I'd like San from Princess Monoké to teach me some of her strength and wisdom. Goal 1 do the work 8h/week (more is better) use timer, and track it, sit down (or stand up) and do the work. Plan classes, workout choreography or find excercises for training goals, study movement apparatus and "hospitieren" (=going to a class as a participant, as a way to observe and learn how people teach their classes) Goal 2 clean your den 15min flylady/day keep tracking Goal 3 take care of you 15 min snack prep in the a.m. good food choices throughout drink water (LOTS OF WATER) move (yoga) /every single frikkin day! And "on the side" I want to be more present on here again, I did well for a bit when I first installed tapatalk, but then I muted it, because I got all these messages of threads I didn't even want to follow and then I didn't get any messages, now I unmuted it, am still not getting updates and overall am a little grrrrr with the whole thing. But I miss ya, so I am going to figure this out!!
  2. > > > With the Water Crystal's newest addition, and the War on the Moon over, Red decided to head back to the Blue Planet and take a load off with some "normal" Humans. He headed to the town of Nozama, and headed for the inn. "Heya Barkeep! I could sure go for a drink of water!" "That'll be $15." He replied as he handed Red the cup. "WHAAAAAAAAAA?! FOR WATER?! WHY?!" Taking the cup back, he answered "Shippin' problems. There's no one gettin' the water, there's no one acceptin' the water, there's no one organizin' the water, so, there's no one drinkin' the water." "There's no one drinking the water? Then what do you guys drink?" "Energy drink. 't's got electrolytes, 't's what the body needs." "Errr... So... Why isn't there anyone 'gettin' the water'?" "There's no one fightin' for the water." "And...?" "Huh? Well, sir, there's this thing, that whenever the shippin' boys get the full supply of water from the spring, they get attacked before they can get back here. They tried fightin' but there's no beatin' whatever it is that keeps takin' back the water." "Huh. So... If I were to say... Help out the 'shippin' boys', can I get some water?" "Well, sir, You could try, but no one knows when there will be fightin', so most mercenaries just wind up quittin' on us before they even do any fightin'." "I see, Well, I'll work for the season and we'll see if I can help!" * * * So this particular challenge is going to be different from my previous ones. I'm working at an Amazon Fulfillment Center, so I'm on my feet for ~10 hours, walking for (from what I'm told by the Associates) 10 miles, every day. Thanks to my having no car, I'm actually at the Center for +12 hours a day. Needless to say, it's going to take some getting used to. So here are the goals! Eat Healthy - I've learned long ago that I need to stay on top of this early on, because it's slacking with my food that will cause a lot of problems later on, So always make a healthy lunch! Points: Wis +2 Con +1 Small Workout Push-ups, Pull-ups, Plank, Squats - I am a little tired when I get back, and I don't have much time to spend alone as I used to, but I do have time to workout if I can get a little creative with it. It will take some experimenting, but I'm certain I can fit in small workouts here and there in my breaks and time off. Points: Wis +1 Con +2 Sta +2 Stretch - We stretch before work and after lunch, but I need to stretch at home to maintain fluidity! Everyday, Full body Stretch! Points: Dex +2 Con +1 Stay Clean - OK, a bit of a confession from me to you guys. When adjusting to new things, personal hygiene immediately becomes one of the first thing that I drop in order to make sure I have time for everything, which winds up with me having horrible dandruff and so on. So Shower, Shaving, and Brushing teeth everyday! Points: Cha +4
  3. At the start of my second challenge, I'm hoping to make some progress towards firming-up an epic quest, keeping track of things on here, and becoming a more centred, rounded person. Main Quest: This is rolling over from the last quest; my main goal is to walk from Bag-end to Bree before Christmas (19% down on the 14th Sept) Quest 1: 4 STR / 2 STA Complete the beginner bodyweight workout; One circuit, three times a week for the first two weeksTwo circuits, three times a week for the second two weeksThree circuits (if I can), three times a week for the final two weeks.Quest 2: 1 WIS / 3 STA Daily walks. On all of the days I am not doing the bodyweight workout, I'll be going out for at least a 1 mile walk. Quest 3: 3 CON No more coffee for me. I drink an absurd amount of coffee when sitting at home doing nothing, so the third quest for this challenge is to drop coffee entirely -1 CON for every coffee taken. Life Quest: 2 WIS Read and make notes on at least 6 chapters of the Java Certification textbook. I am yet to start, but passing a Java cert will help to progress my career as well as my overall knowledge. Trying to keep these goals simple as I continue to try and eat as paleo as possible
