  1. I haven't passed a challenge in a long time. Like since my original account two years ago I went back and looked at what I did then, to see what the difference was, and I only noticed two differences. 1) Successful challenges weren't splitting my energy multiple ways. EVERY goal on the challenge had something to do with losing weight, and they worked together really well. So as much as I liked my 'adulting/self care' goal from last time, I'm going to ditch it in favor of the tried and true cardio/strength/diet recipe. 2) I had a lot of interactions with my support network. I was a member of a group of like 8 or so newbies (The Pirate Lasses or something) who had a roleplaying group going. So we had this separate thread going where we were roleplaying this fun pirate adventure together, which meant that I was on the forums posting sometimes multiple times a day. And since everybody was already on for the pirate adventure, we'd all support each other on our challenges too. But I don't think it was the support that made the difference, (though of course it helped) because I've still got support now. I think it was the fact that I was constantly on the forums because of the roleplay, keeping my challenge and my goals at the forefront of my mind while also forcing me to be accountable - can't really get away with fading away on the challenge if you're still pirating. I tried to rally interest for a NF D&D group, since that would be very similar, but nobody was really into it... & I know I can't just be like, oh, well I'll just have to get on the forums a lot, because I've tried that, and after a week or so lose interest in scouring the boards. So... I'm at a bit of a loss... I've got a Life Quest idea that might hopefully maybe help with the accountability/constant reminder thing... but idk. Maybe I ought to look for a weight loss meetup or join a weight watchers group, so that I'll have to physically show up to something? Idk. If you have ideas, PLEASE SHARE. Anywho, I like having an excuse to post gifs and pictures of things that I like, SO. Theme is World of Warcraft, because let's admit it, it should've been WoW a long time ago xD Main Quest - Lose 6 pounds. I figure, 'they' say you should be able to healthily lose up to 2 pounds/week, and 1 pound/week is supposed to be low-key, so I'd like to aim for 1.5/week. I really gotta drop what I gained over the holidays... I've never been this fat before, literally ever. Goals 1. Swim like a Naga - Swim 3x a week. 2. Strong as an Orc - Strength workouts 2x a week. 3. Eat like an Elf - Eat 1500-1600 kcal of home cooked food every day. Life Quest Insta-famous - Post something diet/weight loss/exercise/health related daily to my secondary Instagram account. @ljaybirdfly (lame name, I know, but all combos of my username and fit were already taken... and I figured, I like aerials, so... w/e) Please follow me so I feel like I've got people holding me accountable. Measurements Height: 5'9" Weight: 210 lbs T-T Waist: 34.5" Hips: 46.5" Thigh: 29" Grading Each goal will be graded weekly & be worth 30% of that week's total grade. Life Points are no longer extra credit as that provided little incentive for me to actually DO said Life Quest. Instead, the Life Quest will also be graded, worth 10% of the week's total grade. My final grade will be the average of all four weeks. I need to make at least a B (80%) to pass the challenge. Swim like a Naga - scored as a percentage of completed swims (side note, I'm super irritated I couldn't find a decent gif or even picture of a naga swimming. They're water creatures, stop having pictures of them out of the water or just chilling on the ocean floor. *rage* oh well, you get the gist) Strong as an Orc - Scored as a percentage of completed workouts. Eat like an Elf - 14 points total. 1/day for meeting calories. 1/day for the food all being home cooked. I liked my point loss system from last time, so I'm keeping it with an adjustment: every 200 kcal over limit is -1 points and every not home-made meal/snack is -1 points. So I can't forget lunch, have to buy from the cafeteria, then get home and be like OH WELL MAY AS WELL ORDER. Also, I can't overeat and be like OH WELL, MAY AS WELL STUFF MY FACE. Insta-Famous- 7 points total. 1/day. (oh yeah, that's right. For those not in the know, you can totally take selfies in WoW xD No, I will not count any WoW selfies towards this goal, haha) Exceptions - If I get REALLY sick, I can be exempt. But I have to be SUPER DUPER sick. So sick that I can't even walk for 15 minutes or do a little bit of cooking. I seriously doubt I'll get that sick. *knocks on wood* Motivation I WANT THOSE DAMN SYLVANAS LEGGINGS. OMG. GIVE THEM TO ME. T-T Also, Bangarang just released a new set called Dragonskin and I want ALL OF THEM. So if I get an A and/or lose more than 6 pounds, I can have one of them. I kinda want Deathwing (black) or maybe Alexstrasza (red). Or all Malygos(blue). Or Ysera(green). Or Nozdormu(yellow). I WANT THEM ALL. Tracker Swim like a Naga Strong as an Orc Eat like an Elf Insta Total Week 1: 0% 0% 0/14 0/7 0% Week 2: 0% 0% 0/14 0/7 0% Week 3: 0% 0% 0/14 0/7 0% Week 4: 0% 0% 0/14 0/7 0%
  2. Highmountain: Moose Cows. Moose Cows that are all about balance, nature and keeping those Pesky Harpies and Drogbar in their place. I can't think of anything to do with this one, so I'm calling it my WoW/Fun goal. I am the main tank for my Saturday night Raid team and I need to have gear, food and flasks ready for raid night and I also want to be on my A game when we get shit started. Daily: Heroics, World Quests, One Mythic, one episode of a show to just curl up with my gf and chill Weekly: research the fights so I can be awesome, and down shit faster so we can make progession and not spend two hours on one boss getting angry. As needed: Farming for food, upgrade materials and helping other raiders get shit done Stormheim: If there was ever a place or a race of people in WoW that I have wanted to play more it is the Vrykul. They are heavily Norse themed half giants and very war like. I'm no big on the war aspect of their race, but the super strong giant part seems pretty badass. So I'm making this my strength goal for the challenge. Their homeland in Stormheim is a mixture of cliffs, mountains, valleys and broken multilevel areas of mini cliffs. They have huge grappling hooks set into the cliffs that they use to help them climb and move across deep canyons in the land. I'm going to keep this mostly as body weight work and stair climbing. I'm on the 7th floor and I really hate climbing stairs so I'm going to make a point of doing it on my way home from work during the week. Body weight work: pushups (modified), squats, pull ups, etc 3x/week 7 flights of stairs daily Monday-Friday Gym 2x per week for anything at all, at least 1.5 hours of work each visit. Val'Sharah: The druids of Val'Sharah are currently deep in a battle with a mass of satyrs who are trying to spread Nightmare corruption all over the land from the now horribly corrupted Emerald Dream. I have a terrible track record of getting decent and consistent sleep and while I like knowing that I can go a decade or so on about 4-5 hours of sleep a night for the most part, I'd rather not continue doing so. Sunday - Thursday night in bed at 9 pm, not saying asleep at 9 pm, but aiming for sleep at 9 pm no fucking exceptions. Naps: taken when needed but for no longer than 2 hours or I'll throw off my 9 pm bed time goals. Friday and Saturday night: get at least 7 hours of sleep. Don't care when I go to sleep, but not less than 7 hours of sleep. Azsuna: This place is the most broken looking of the isles. It is filled with undead nigh elves who are unable to really die, murlocks... soooooo many murlocks, Naga, Giants and a decent amount of Blue dragons as well as a few scattered Nightborne elves from Suramar and their Withered. The main group I have been working with is the Court of Farondis, a faction of the undead elves who have been stuck in a limbo of undeath for oh.... 10 000 years or so. One of of their group is a drunken alchemist who is trying to break their curse with insane food. Or he's just drunk as hell and likes to cook, who knows. make my own food as much as possible, cooking sauces are acceptable, fully made meals are not. no ordering out for dinner more than once every two weeks. no cookies at work period. None. Zip zilch nadda. I'm done. no pop at home unless it is a single can/glass/bottle on the night we order out. Suramar: The elves of Suramar are an extremely proud race, they look down on all outsiders and have the most absolutely beautiful city in the game to date. I don't like the insane pride or how messed up and unbalanced their society is, the excesses of the rich and the brutal suffering of the poor, but I do enjoy their city. It is hands down the prettiest place in the entirety of WoW to date. So this is going to be a vanity based challenge focused on myself and my home. My room mates are not reliable for cleaning things often, well or without being kind of bitchy about things, so I'm going to tackle more cleaning around here. They will either notice and start to help, or I'll just become a total boss at keeping shit tidy which is good for me. As for myself, I am just so sick and tired of having terrible skin. I'm 31 and I still get acne flare ups. While I know that this has little to do with my age and more to do with my hormones, diet, general health and environment I still need to make a serious effort towards trying to prevent it from getting horrible. Also I ruin my hands at work and I don't want to add ragged fingernails to the mix. Daily: home: sweeping, dishes, throwing out full trash bins me: full skin care work and flossing my teeth Weekly: home: bathroom, vacuuming, pet areas total clean up me: nail maintenance, face mask and insane moisturizing As needed: home: mopping floors, cleaning windows, dusting less used areas of the house me: maintaining my fabulously colourful hair and trimming the back as it grows back out. I don't think rocking a neon blue mullet is gonna look good on me Tracking: daily post of what I'm up to the five following posts will be for each section of my challenge final wrap up? Maybe we'll see if I'm still around by the end.
  3. So I like to play World of Warcraft. A lot. And I am one of the zillions of us out there that wish our world was as interesting as Azeroth is and would love to romp around the world fighting monsters and making a name for myself and kicking the daylights out of the Boss level enemies that want to see the world burn. Basically I want to be a level capped fully geared, totally enchanted BAD-ASS Hero of the Horde or Alliance. I play for both teams (pun intended zing!) Getting to Level Cap Get to 30% BF (15 lbs loss) by February 1st Do ten pull ups in a row, by September 2017 Do ten real push ups in a row by September 2017 Squat my current body weight (210) 5x5 Fit into a size 10 pants and size medium shirt, (allowances made for my hip bones/rack being too big to fit into those sizes) by September 2017 jog 1km without stopping by September 2017 These things will mean I am level capped. I expect this to take me about a year realistically for most things, although I think I can hit the body fat goal by my birthday if I'm smart about it Gear Farming Chest: bench, pushups, Shoulders: OHP, resistance band work Hands: working on my wrist strength with bands, trying to improve weakness from past damage Belt: core work Legs: squats, lunges, Feet: Ankle mobility stuff, and things to prevent shin splints: ankle alphabets, stretching, Back: shrugs, rows, pull downs, For each (Set x Rep) of a workout that fits into one of those slots, I will earn a point towards new gear. I need three points to get a new piece of gear. Gear will also be farmed out of Dungeons and Raids like it usually is in the game. There are going to be three difficulty levels for each. Dungeons: this will be a shorter workout, of 1 Mobility/3 (Strength/Resistance) -OR- 2 Mobility/2 (Strength/Resistance). These will be shorter because Dungeons shouldn't take too long to complete. Normal: light weights/resistance/body weight. 1 point for completion of 5x5 Heroic: medium weights and resistance. 2 points for completion of 5x5 Mythic: the heaviest things I can lift safely and the strongest resistance I can handle. 3 points for completion of 5x3 (less reps because this is heavy work and I don't wanna wipe :P) Raids: this will be a longer workout of 2 mobility and up to 5 strength/resistance. These will be much longer, because Raids take a while to complete. Normal: Light weight/resistance 2 Mobility 3 Strength/Resist. 3 points for completion of 5x5 Heroic: Medium weights/resistance 2 Mobility 4 Strength/Resist. 4 points for completion of 5x5 Mythic: Heavy weights/resistance 2 Mobility, 5 Strength/Resist 5 points for completion of 5x3 Final Bosses Treasure Demon - Get out of debt with my bank ASAP (this cannot be a timely goal at all because I have a crappy near minimum wage job, another adult to partially support and things like Birthdays/Christmas/Random to factor into my finances) More stuff will be added to this post as I come up with a real plan and this will likely stay as the first post of all upcoming challenges, with tweaks based on progress and changes. So I must ask you...
  4. So here's the deal Nerds! I'm a die hard WoW player. I've been in the game pretty consistently since late in the Burning Crusade expansion and I love this game. With the new expansion Legion coming out at the end of August it just seemed way too punny to pass up the chance to make a Leigh-gion challenge and tie my deep rooted love of this wonderful game into my desire to be even half as awesome as my characters in the game. I have three that I use on a regular basis but I am going to be playing my Paladin almost exclusively for this new expansion with my Warlock and the obvious Demon Hunter being made as well. There's a lot of neat shit going to happen (hopefully) in this new expansion and one of the things I, and @MichiruSedai (because she's an awesome paladin just like me!) will get is an artifact weapon... The one! The only! So my devious plan is I'm going to work on myself the same way I work on things in the game. I'm going achievement hunting, gear farming, and getting 'raid ready' with buffs food and flasks etc. Gear Farming Chest: bench, pushups, Shoulders: OHP, resistance band work Hands: working on my wrist strength with bands, trying to improve weakness from past damage Belt: core work Legs: squats, lunges, Feet: Ankle mobility stuff, and things to prevent shin splints: ankle alphabets, stretching, Back: shrugs, rows, pull downs, For each (Set x Rep) of a workout that fits into one of those slots, I will earn a point towards new gear. I need three points to get a new piece of gear. Gear will also be farmed out of Dungeons and Raids like it usually is in the game. There are going to be three difficulty levels for each. Dungeons: this will be a shorter workout, of 1 Mobility/3 Strength/Resistance -OR- 2 Mobility/2 Strength/Resistance. 4 points for completion of 5x5 Mythic: Heavy weights/resistance 2 Mobility, 5 Strength/Resist 5 points for completion of 5x3 Achievement Hunting Since I tend to get lazy about these in game I'm going to apply them to things I have been getting lazy on this summer, which is mainly going to the gym, saving money and cooking. And because it's summer, I am getting destroyed by heat, so I need a bit of motivation to want to go out in the horror that is a Canadian summer to go to the gym, or to just stand in my kitchen and cook. Because I'm spending so little time cooking at home I'm wasting a lot of money on fast food and cold drinks from the store. So I've got a small list so far, which I will hopefully add to as the challenge goes on. For going to the gym I'm going to do this as my Exploration achievements. I'll be making these entirely cardio type things, because there is no fucking way in hell I'm doing ANYTHING like this outside or at home, it's too hot! So Swimmng, Walking and Biking! There are Six regions included in the World Explorer achievement and there is also Explore Draenor for the current expansion so I will have to do seven cardio sessions at the gym over the challenge to get them all. Explore Kalimdor: walk for fifteen minutes Explore Eastern Kingdoms: walk for fifteen minutes Explore Outlands: bike for twenty minutes Explore Northrend: bike for twenty minutes Explore Cataclysm: swim fifteen laps in the pool Explore Pandaria: swim fifteen laps in the pool Explore Draenor: walking/jogging intervals for ten minutes (this will be brutal my friends...) For cooking I'm going to be doing six different kinds of cooking at home during the week. I am leaving weekends as up in the air since I'm not always home to be cooking. I'm going for Master of Pandaren Cooking for this one: Master of the Grill: BBQ, the electric grill, or cooking on grill racks in the oven/toaster oven. Master of the Pot: anything that is cooked primarily in a pot or in the slow cooker. Master of the Oven: bake ALL the things! Master of the Wok: can you say Stirfryday? I sure can! Master of the Steamer: steaming my veggies! Master of the Brew: making coffee/protein drinks for the walk to work in the morning. For money I'll be working on just not spending my whole paycheque before the next one comes in. I get paid twice this challenge but I'm going to extend just this part an extra week. I want to have no less than $50 in the bank before a pay cheque comes in. This is actually going to be really hard for me. I've spent my entire working life living cheque to cheque. I almost never have money stay in savings for more than a week before something comes up, or I stupidly transfer the money out for something, usually it is for groceries, or unexpected things like needing new work pants or replacing a broken pair of sunglasses or if I wreck a pair of work shoes, but still, I should be able to keep at least $50 in the bank and not spend it right? Got My Mind On My Money (copper): have $50 in the bank before payday on the 22nd Got My Mind On My Money (silver): have $100 in the bank before payday on the 5th Got My Mind On My Money (gold): have $150 i the bank before payday on the 19th Got My Mind On My Draenor Money: have more than $250 in the bank from previous paydays on the 19th. Ready for Raiding In order to raid, you must have strong enough gear to get in, and you should have food buffs, flasks and get/give out the right buffs or you're gonna have a bad time. So far all I can think of for this is sleeping properly, drinking more water, and body maintenance. Rested Bonus: resting from 9:30 pm - 4 am during the work week, and getting at least eight hours of sleep a night on weekends. Hydraxian Waterlords: four glasses of water per day minimum. One right when I wake up, one before any food at work, one as soon as I get home from work and one right before bed. That Sparkling Smile: I'm bad for remembering to floss so floss daily. Grab a flosser stick and do it while playing stupid facebook games, or checking up here on the forums
  5. Shatyr continued her journey, heading for Ashenvale. Darkshore lay behind her, broken but still free. Those who remained would continue the rebuilding, trusting in her and other heroes to keep the forces of the Horde from reaching the forests. She would not let them down. Her first stop would be Maestra's Post, where Moon Priestess Maestra was waiting for reinforcements. ~~~/|\~~~ It's been a while since I posted on the forums, so I'll go ahead and do a brief introduction. I am 32 and I work tech support for a bank. This is not exactly a high activity job and it is really hard to pace in a cubicle. I went paleo about 2 years ago, lost 20 pounds (9kg for those who use the far more reasonable metric system), and promptly gained it all back again when I returned to the eating habits of my peers (curse you, grains!). After some incredibly helpful therapy, I've gotten to a place where I know who I don't want to be and how I don't want to live (hint: it's who and how I've been for the past 10 years or so). So now I'm tackling all those bad habits I've spent a lifetime developing while struggling with social anxiety. I have a very, very bad habit of disappearing, because escaping uncomfortable situations was my go-to reaction for decades. But the community here is so amazing and supportive, I don't want to disappear from it. I am an avid WoW player (Feral Druid since Vanilla, and it wasn't even viable back then!) and decided to design my 2016 challenges based on the Alliance zone path on Kalimdor (why yes, I am a Nerd. Thank you for being one too!). So, onto the good stuff! ~~~/|\~~~ Primary Goals: 1. Grow stronger Workout three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Starting numbers: Knee Push Up - 3x3 Assisted Pull Up - 3x3 Wall Squat - 3x3 Static Lunge - 3x3 Knee Plank - 5 sec 2. Discipline the mind Evening meditation, 24 nights Spend 3 minutes meditating before bed every night 3. Empty the packs Donate 1 box a week, 4 boxes total, of unneeded items to charity Secondary Professions: These things are parts of my life that I want to cultivate. I want to eat better and more varied dishes. I want to really emphasize cello in my life. I have begun to design my own cross stitch patterns and I want to see where this takes me. Cooking: 2 new recipes Honey Glazed Salmon Pulled Pork Bonus: Scalloped potatoes Enchanting (cello): Practice 30 minutes, three days a week (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) 12 sessions total Bonus: The Irish Cello book Tailoring: Finish WIPs and start Birth Announcement #1 (Four people in my department are having kids. Don't drink the water!) Organize large storage box Organize patterns/kits Bonus: The Last Tapestry design phase one ~~~/|\~~~ That should be it for now. I'll have pictures and measurements ready to go on Sunday. In the meantime, I'm going to prep for work tomorrow. The alarm comes early (before sunrise, which just doesn't seem right).
  6. Okay, so those of us who play or have played WoW know what dailies are. You level all the way up and that's all that's left are the dailies, really, and dungeon runs, but until you max level, dailies can give experience, especially when you're a low-level. ONGOING GOALS: My dailies are: tracking input and output using My Fitness Pal, working out on my DDP Yoga at least three times a week, and walking my dog once a day. (Which is harder than you think because he pulls and he barks all up and down my street, and there are lots of dogs on my street that irritate him) I want to keep my carbs between 50 and 100 grams daily, as I eat a modified primal -- rice and potatoes allowed in great moderation, dairy allowed for cottage cheese and cream for my coffee. My first challenge will most likely be something along these lines as well. 12/31/14 So I've been tracking using MFP, and as of this morning, I had lost four pounds in three days -- which means water weight. Which I will most likely regain tonight, because I am not going to make myself insane worrying too much about my eating tonight. It's New Year's, and the kids want me to pick some party food up. Which I'm good with. I will be mindful of what I eat, I will get the veggie and fruit plate as well as the little sandwiches and the shrimp ring, and I may grill some chicken breast or a couple of small steaks and make bite size canape type things to eat instead. POINT BEING, today is not for "OMG TOMORROW'S NEW YEAR SO I WILL STUFF MYSELF TO THE GILLS!!!" Today is for mindfulness, tracking, and not feeling overly guilty if I do go over my calorie count for today. Now will someone please remind me of that tomorrow or Friday when I start beating myself up over it?
  7. Hi all! I've been meaning to do this for a while, but seeing as I suffer from social anxiety even online, I avoided it. I also tend to ramble. That said, I found Nerd Fitness earlier this year - around April - and lurked around the site and forums for quite a while. I've struggled with my health and weight for most of my 20s, and while I'd started running semi-regularly around 3 years ago, I wasn't making any progress. Working a desk job and commuting by train every day hardly helps, as I'm sitting 8+ hours a day, not including the time I spend at home vegging. It took some time to realize that no matter how hard I worked physically, my motivation (to lose weight) and methods were all wrong. Until I found Nerd Fitness and started writing down everything I ate, I had no clue that I had no clue how to eat. It took a bit to accept that not all calories are created equal. Also, I found that I absolutely loathed running. While my cardiovascular health improved - somewhat - I was unable to shed any weight and I was just damn bored when I ran. Adding insult to injury, I was diagnosed with asthma right around the time I started running. I'd run, then get a nasty case of bronchitis plus the added bonus of a sinus infection each November that would knock me out of commission for 2-3 months. I think you can see where this is going...the cycle continued. During the summer of 2013, I knew running wasn't a sustainable plan - seeing as I both mentally and physically hated it - so I joined my husband (1st kyu brown) and began karate (Shotokan) training. I had a surprisingly difficult time catching onto karate, to the point that I nearly quit after the summer session had ended. It also didn't help that we train in a group, high and low belts together, going through all the same kata, kihon (basics) and kumite (sparring). I felt like everyone was watching me and judging me for sucking so bad at karate. It took a while for me to realize that no one cared how bad I was, and instead offered tips and my sensei broke down the purpose of each movement (bunkai). I'd hate to say that after my first belt test I had more confidence, but it's the truth. Also, knowing that I survived a belt test while sick with my annual bronchitis/sinus infection, I realized I'm not as weak as I think I am. From the moment I ditched my white belt, I wanted to be stronger for karate. Around May, I decided to start making small changes after stumbling upon Nerd Fitness. I audited my diet (holy crap, that was difficult) and made small changes week by week. That was an uphill battle on its own. I always left at least one day for myself to go out with the husband and enjoy something like a cheeseburger, but maybe not eat the whole thing and skip the top bun. Then, I found the beautiful joy that is lifting. Like karate, I sucked at first. I was impatient and overloaded myself with weight too fast and found myself feeling like I was literally going to fall apart, limb by limb. I read articles written by Staci Ardison on Nerd Fitness and actually applied her tips, and lo and behold, I shed 25 lbs by doing little more than karate one night a week, lifting 3 times a week and filling myself with cleaner foods. Consequently, I started kicking major ass in karate (not literally). My stances got lower and much stronger, and I found a deep love of kata...something that I hated more than anything else in karate. Sorry, for my long-winded intro. I'm also a musician. I play guitar (funk and blues mostly) and trumpet. I've played WoW since vanilla and I've started to get into tabletop games. So far, I think Pandemic might be my favorite, followed by Munchkin.
  8. Good day everyone! I'm Halifirien. You can call me Hal. Or Hali. Or my real name, Cory. I'm here today because I'm ready to change my life. I have never been a physically fit person. I've spent most of my time either in school, playing video games, watching movies, reading books, or any number of other nerdtastic activities. I won't give you the long version of this story (though anyone who wants to know is free to ask), mainly because I hate typing. We have Vent/Mumble/Teamspeak/Skype for long stories. After 24 years of nerdery, I'm ready to get fit. This is mainly to be healthy, but I have other nerd activities that I would like to pursue that would work a lot better if I were fit (i.e. cosplay). Also, "I want to see mountains again, mountains, Gandalf!" True story. The first time I knew I wanted to be fit was when I couldn't hike for more than half a mile near the top of Mt. Rainier. And I swore that the next time I was there that I would make it to the top. I've always been able to focus on only two full time things during my life (as I'm sure all of us have). For the past 7 years that has been school, and the World of Warcraft. I've dropped WoW to make my fitness and health my second full time activity. I'm ready to stop playing in Azeroth and become the Tauren Warrior that I've been questing with for so many years, in real life. There you have it. Good day, Halifirien
  9. I sit behind a desk for a living in a job that always has food around and that provides doughnuts every Friday. As a result, I have jumped back to 255 on Jan 1st. I am tired of being overweight At the first of the year, I jumped back into the slow/carb diet and on 12th I was sitting at 240. This week I am making the transition to Paleo. basically cutting out beans. It has been tough this week, I am hungry a ton. I seem to be eating every few hours. And I still have the bad habit of 1 12oz Diet soda a day - I am drinking a ton of water though! I also started the basic body weight workouts this week. My fitness goals: Tough Mudder in 2014 180lbs 10% body fat by Jan 1 touch my palms to the floor (not flexible enough to touch my toes yet) I am glad to be here - looking to find some accountability other than my wife and my waist. Happy to be here!
