  1. Hello Scouts, Hope you don't mind this ranger crashing here for a month. I normally identify more with the rangers because I get board with doing the same thing day in and day out with my workouts. This 4 week challenge works out well for me in that I am currently in the final month of training for my first 1/2 Marathon. I am not really much of a runner. Two summers I did C25K which worked well. Then I took it to training for a 10K. The farthest I had ever run was a race called the Hudy 14K in 2015 which takes place over Oktoberfest weekend (in Cincinnati Ohio). After that I felt good and slacked off on my running and switch to more Yoga and Weight lifting. I am part of a community outreach group at work at we got our company to be a sponsor for the Mini Heart race- that Supports the American Heart Association. With that sponsorship we had to put together a team. Therefore I signed up to be one of the runners. So there I was right around Thanksgiving not having run for almost a year getting ready to train for a 1/2. So to date I have logged 125.05 miles of training runs with just over 4 weeks to go till the race. I am not the fastest runner but I am ok with that. My normal pace is between 12:00-14:00 min/mile. So my goal is to finish the race in under 3 hours. If I accomplish that then my loot will be a nice Massage the weekend after to recover. I am looking for tips on dealing with blisters, keeping from getting injured and advice for getting a little faster. http://www2.heart.org/site/TR/HeartWalk/GRA-GreatRiversAffiliate?px=3091906&pg=personal&fr_id=2062
