  1. I believe that we are all chained down. We are tied to our own beliefs that limit us and make us afraid of doing. Now, I start my journey to find my freedom and create my own path. Intro: Hi. I'm Arucinogen or Aru for short. This is my first time making a serious challenge for myself. I'm currently at 5'7 and fluctuating between 95-98 kg which is bad since I'm only 17. The good part is I still have time to improve upon myself. I've known nerd fitness for a while now, maybe a month or two but I only joined the community just now. I've tried many sports but never kept within them for too long since I easily get bored or I don't have enough money to fund for training and stuff. I've also tried going to the gym but I only follow through for a month or so until I stop then get motivated again and finally stop again. Looking at these forums finally steeled me up to go for making a big change and facing a challenge. I feel that this community would be a great help with me and my journey. I also hope to be a contributing member here for a long time. Goals: Diet and Fitness Diet Adjustment - My diet is pretty much messed up right now. I live in a place where the staple food is rice and pretty much all of our meals involve eating either rice or bread. We use overly salty condiments with almost all of our meals in a week and drink soda and other beverages containing high amounts of sugar. Goal = Readjust diet Plan = Replace all drinks with water, Go 3 days in a week without rice Reason = I usually forget that I'm on a diet and make the mistake of eating things I shouldn't have. I'll keep it simple for my first challenge but challenging enough since I'm going for a few days every week without something each meal here is part of. Grading = A for no missed days and drinks, B for 1 to 2 days missed and 4+ drinks, C for 3+ days and 6+ drinks, Anything else is F. Exercise - I've long known parkour and have always wanted to try it and be good at it. I've finally decided on it being my main reason to do exercise. To become better, I'm going to stick with body weight exercises and a few weight lifting sessions. 3 - 4 days per week is my goal so an average of 22-24 sessions with weight lifting included. Goal = Set a schedule for exercise and follow through Plan = Bodyweight + weightlifting for 3 to 4 sessions per week. Reason = I've tried running and exercise before but I always lost interest or fail to continue. Now I have to account for it and make it so that I'll have a body more suited for what I really want to do Grading = A for no missed days, B for 1 to 2 days missed, C for 3 days missed. Anything else is F. Parkour - If I want to do something then I would do it. I want to set goals for parkour too. Mastering the techniques is part of what I'm going to have to live with and this will be part of my exercise. Goal = Increase knowledge of body, increase awareness, and improve body movement Plan = Replace 1 or 2 days of exercise per week with parkour movements and conditioning for it. Reason = This will replace my cardio for most of my challenge. Also I'm a beginner at parkour so I should also set aside plans in order to improve at doing it. This will replace up to 6 to 10 days of training. Grading = A for no missed days, B for 1 missed day, C for 2 missed days. Anything else is F Leveling Up Improving Confidence - I'm a weird person. I can usually talk with strangers or give speeches to a large group of people but there are many times when my confidence wavers and I lose many opportunities. I think that my insecurities stem from a long line for bullying and abuse during my childhood. I've been over it but my opinion of myself isn't that great. I aim to improve that Goal = Increase social performance, gradual improval of self-worth Plan = Talk to 1 random stranger everyday and get to know them/ Help them with what they are doing. Through Real-life or internet. Reason = I can do it but most of the times I wanted to I just kept silent or when someone was struggling with something I just passed them like many others do. I feel guilty of what I could have done and the person I could have known was another missed opportunity. Grading = A for no missed day, B for 5 missed days, C for 8 missed days. Anything else is F. Stat Gains: Diet = Con + 2 Exercise = Str + 2, Con + 1, Sta + 2 Parkour = Dex + 1, Sta + 1, Str + 1 Confidence = Wis + 2, Cha + 3 Notes: I will be making a log of all my goals everyday. Updates will mostly be random but there will be a general update every sunday on how I'm doing with my goals. I could update almost every day to a minimum of the 3 x a week. I am open to suggestions and questions about me and my goals. In case anyone wants to know... I live in the Philippines. A bit below the middle class. Most of my hobbies are revolved around Anime and playing computer games. I've stopped with the computer games but I can't go without them Anime.
