  1. Interim Challenge:: 11 Days to Check Yourself Over and Head to the Stars! The Intergalactic Space Station Needs You. ** Scouts are needed to get into the newest, badassist, long-distance scout vessels! Where are you headed? To the center of the universe, where it all began! ** Are you ready for this? Are you sure your body can handle what you're asking of it? Are you in sync (without music or backup singers) with the body you have, right now? This is your chance to prove to the universe that you know how to make things happen! Because, we are going to… Space: the fundamental frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Scout. It's never-ending mission: to explore strange new ways of being active, to seek out new ranges of motion and new personal records, to boldly eat what cleanses us, where no sugar has gone before! You all enter the space dock heading to the transporter room to beam up to the new, Class - Awesome, Superhero Scout Ship #1030-1109. You can feel the excitement building as your class starts to realize just how much they can prove to themselves and be the best class the scouts have ever seen! You been through the basic tour of the place and have been through your first inspection, passing you for active duty. It's Spock and Dr. McCoy that have briefed you on your first training assessment drill, in between of course, their spats of philosophical differences and references to many a misconduct on their past outings together. Through stifled giggles and guffaws, you head to your personal gym and start up your recorder. The mission is listed on the wall screen and is maneuverable by you with a flick of your hand, so long as your Scout Fleet badge is attached to your training uniform. Seems they want you to show your aptitude for personal assessment and reporting. Makes sense you realize as you'll be alone for many of these challenging missions. If you cannot discern your true physical and mental preparedness, you could be headed for disaster. And General Kailer would not be please! So without any more motivation needed, you check out the first test and start your warm up routine. In less than a fortnight, you'll be on your next mission and you want to know how everything is working. Thursday, Oct. 30th 2014 Day 1 through 3. Range of Motion Estimates -- everybody During these initial days, perform range of motion tests on 2 parts of your body with at least one having to do with running/biking/swimming/your favorite Scout thing. After the test, do mobility work on that muscle system/ joint/ what have you and then retest. See what helps gain more range and what doesn't. If what you tried doesn't help, don't bother with it. Instead, find something that does help the range of motion situation now. For references on mobility and range of motion testing, please consider these links or ask your other Scout folk for advice and guidance. The more testing and mobility you do, the better your mission preparedness will be. And the more pleased the General will be! Initial Test = 1 point First mobility work = 2 points Retest = 1 point Any additional full circuits (test, mobility, retest) within this time period = 2 points ** Register and record your training areas on this spreadie, thank you. ** "Let's Be Careful Out There."
