For the past three weeks, I've been stationary biking on a manual setting at a number - let's call this number "10" - for one hour per day. I find it very challenging. I use the level of "10" because the level of "9" is not at all challenging. What I want to know is, when does "10" become the new "9"? I have asked the Internet when exercise gets easier and everyone says, "Never, because when it feels easier you are supposed to change your routine to make it hard again." Okay, I get that, but when do I get to the point of making it hard again? For what it's worth, the spurious measurements I get at the end of my workout (mileage, calories burned, etc.) have increased over time. In fact, yesterday was a personal record.
