  1. Goal 1: Stop eating like a jerk. While it is not a measurable goal, it is by far my most challenging. To make it interesting, if I DO eat like a jerk, I will post it here. Not to be made fun of, but because I hope that the act of having to post it will keep me from eating it. For example: if the husband brings home a macro-friendly dark chocolate bar for us to split, that is not eating like a jerk. If I stop and buy a king sized Reece's cup on the way home, that IS eating like a jerk. I promise to be honest. Goal 2: Lots of folks have been great about giving advice regarding my hip discomfort. I have even found several exercises that seem to work. Yet I do not do them consistently. Why? Dunno. So it gets its own goal. I need to get this crap handled so that I can get back to being awesome. Goal 3: Keep lifting. 3x per week. Starting numbers, pounds: Squat - nope OHP - 95 Bench - 135 (that feels so good to type!) DB Row - 60 DL - 210 Let's see where we end up! LUYL: Well, it's really fitness goal. I feel like I am nearing the point where I need to leave stronglifts for something else. I need to figure out where to go from here. That, of course, requires copious amounts of lurking, google-fu, discussion questing. I'd like to have done a fair amount of that research accomplished and at least an idea by the end of May. (Another non-measurable goal. This challenge is rife with them.)
  2. Current Stats: 5'9", ~190! lbs, 28 Main Quest: To lose 50 lbs (40 more) and rock life in general -I will use my fitbit to track all of my movements and go an extra .01 miles per day (which is ~20 steps). I have averaged all of my stats up to this point using my fitbit and I on average walk 4.7 miles per day. So on day 1, I will walk 4.71, day 2 4.72, etc. Until I'm averaging 6 miles per day (may be readjusted as necessary). -At least once a week I will visit a new trail, natural area, state park, etc to explore new places in my town. There are probably enough places within 20 miles of my location that I can visit one new one per week and see a new one for the rest of my life. I also want to make sure to visit the mountains at least once during this challenge (probably when all the leaves start to change, making it a very pretty walk). - Eat paleo 80% of the time (100% is not doable for me at this point or I fail and revert to zero, so I am starting with 80% and I will work my way up to 100% slowly) Side Goal: -This kind of goes with my eating paleo, but it definitely needs to be done. ORGANIZE! I honestly can't tell you what all I have in my deep freezer at the moment and it is packed full . So its time to get off my butt and get it organized, plus I have an opportunity at the end of August to get a bunch of free chicken from work and will need some place to put it. I just finished cleaning out my pantry of everything non-paleo so I'm already set there. Motivation: I feel the need to be able to love myself before I can expect anyone else to do so. I am definitely on the path to this right now, losing weight is not the way to do this, but taking care of my body and the way I eat definitely is. I can't eat and treat myself like crap and love the way I am. I have honestly definitely improved at this since I started the first challenge, progress is great because you know there is no finish line!
