  1. The last time I fell off the fitness wagon, I respawned, started a challenge, and promptly found out I was pregnant. The goals from that challenge did not line up with expecting, so I abandoned it to focus on my pregnancy. My daughter is approaching her sixth month, and I finally feel ready to get back on the sleigh! I’ve been doing sporadic core work with her, and a post partum exercise class now and then, but it’s time to get organized and commit! Quest 1: Go to the dentist. I have a mortal fear of the dentist, and most visits are torturous enough that I never want to return. I went while pregnant because it was required, but chickened out after my daughter was born, and have been postponing using a flimsy excuse of not having child care at the time. I want to set a good example for my daughter, and take care of my teeth, so this MUST BE DONE. Quest 2: Consistent Core Work Complete at least core workouts for a minimum of 10 minutes 3 times a week. Quest 3: Reduce Sweet Consumption I feel this one ought to be food related. I usually eat fairly healthy, but I enjoy sweets and tend to overindulge, so I feel that this is where I could use some improvement. So - only one sweet each weekday at ‘goute’ time (like the French version of afternoon tea). As it IS the holidays, weekends are a bit more relaxed - up to three sweets. Bonus Quest: Hit PrePregnancy Weight by my 6th Month Post Partum I am three kilos away from PrePregnancy weight. It's a long stretch to lose 3 kilos this challenge, but it would be awesome. Level Up: French Language Acquisition Complete the French course I started. I’ve switched from Assassin to Druid, as it will take a while to get back into parkour shape, and I feel the path of the yogi is a better fit for now, and the paths are not mutually exclusive. It’s a different form of fun for me, but easier to take my daughter along, and include her in my workouts.
  2. Hello everyone, I've been reading along here for a little while but not as a member so since I can't seem to find an answer / help for my problem I thought I'd sign up and see who has any ideas / tips / we've been there and done it & please don't give up kinda thing. A bit of background and history of me: In my teens I weighed a whopping 92kg at one point. How?? Simple eating delicious stacked sandwiches with 6 different topping plus a few extra helping of chips, chocolates and no exercise. My mom dragged me to the GP, got a major telling off and was put on a hypoglycemic diet (had sugar crash problems) and within 7 months I was back at 68kg and healthy as a horse. Fast forward to now: I became a mom 8 months ago, couldn't be happier apart from one thing: I'm still way way waaay too heavy. But this time I can't go to the gym (like I did 2 years ago), I can't do too much outside (nosy neighbours) and I can eat for 3. Or 4 or 5 people for that instance. I asked the GP and got told: just move 30 minutes a day and eat healthy. That doesn't work for me anymore. I've lost and gained 10 to 15 kg over the past 10 years and I've never been able to keep it off. Me and my husband looked at lots of the vegan / plant based movies and I decided to try it. I felt loads better without the milk and meats but I still don't know what else to do to get my weight off and fitting into a lower carb way of eating. I have one set of weights at home and a kettle belt plus a bouncy baby who wants to do all kinds of things but that's it. I live in the UK so walking outside in horrible weather doesn't bother me but isn't such a good idea with a small baby. What can I do now? I don't want to give up my new way of eating but I don't lose weight. I can eat 4 slices of toast and after 30 or 45 minutes be hungry again. I have no idea anymore after trying almost every diet and trying loads of new exercise routines.I tried Insanity Max 30 (30 minutes is easy if baby is asleep) and I gained a few kg of weight in 4 weeks that I stopped totally baffled!!! I would really really appreciate any ideas or help since I have no idea anymore what I can do at this moment to get healthy and fit again. I know losing weight isn't done overnight neither is getting fit but after struggling for months and months I really hope I can make permanent positive changes
  3. Hiya Rebels! I am really looking forward to being part of this community. I am a new(ish) mom who has worked hard over my maternity leave ( I am Canadian - we get a year to get into the best shape of my life. My next goal is to do the Spartan Sprint - 5k, 15 obstacles this summer. I run, lift weights, do yoga and try and fit in 10 minutes or less of exercise at any one time while looking after my daughter, a few times a day! I am looking for inspiration, practical tips on gaining functional strength, and eventually I would like to be able to do pull-ups! Keep up the good fight!
  4. Hey fellow Rangers, Posting this right now. Goals to come tomorrow. I'm working overtime tonight, so not much time to post. SO PUMPED FOR THIS NEW CHALLENGE!!
