Giving up sugary drinks, soft drinks, and beers has left just water and tea for dinner. Being a southerner, I do like to sweeten my iced tea, but Don't want to use sugar to do it. I got some stevia, and it doesn't taste all that bad. I was wondering if anyone has done any research on it. The NF Academy only has a little paragraph about it: "Stevia is a naturally occurring sweetener from the Sunflower family. It is approximately 300 times sweeter than table sugar, and allegedly has a lower effect on blood glucose levels. Stevia has had an interesting history in the United States (for political reasons), but appears to have been used in Japan and South America with minimal adverse effects." Do any of you fellow nerds know anything more about it? Thanks!
