  1. Welcome to my Pikachu-themed challenge! Why Pikachu? Because. Don't question the mouse that could fry you My focus this challenge is on keeping the progress coming. I stalled out a bit at the end of the last challenge, so I need too refocus and get going. Main Quest: Become worthy of the dragon. My plan is to get an awesome dragon tattoo across my back when I've reached my main goal weight of 150 lbs. I'm so psyched for this. So, how am I going to get there? Still figuring that out a bit. Here's things I know I want to do: -Lose at least the same percent of body weight that I did last challenge (3%) Mission 1: Eat the right stuff! I'm going to follow an IIFYM approach to eating this challenge. I didn't do too well with restricting carbs once I upped my activity level again last challenge, so I'm just going to attempt to eat nice and balanced. I like the idea of "flexible dieting" where I eat what I want as long as my calories are restricted. Calories: 1600 Carbs: 160g Fat: 50g Protein: 126g Mission 2: Keep moving! This is the exercise portion of my challenge. Karate (class): 2x per week Karate (practice): 1-2x per week Strength/conditioning: 2x per week This seems like a lot, but really all I'm adding in is an extra strength/conditioning day and making myself practice karate consistently. Mission 3: Achieve some life balance how I feel most of the time I have a lot going on. A lot is kind of an understatement, actually. I want to achieve some balance with everything I'm juggling so I have time to do more fun things, like play Pokemon, read books, and write stories. If anyone has any tips here, please share! I've never been the greatest at time management, but I'd really like to get better. My list of never-ending-things: Work Masters classes (2) The dog (walking, playing with, preventing total annihilation of my apartment, etc.) Karate Chores (grocery shopping, cleaning, etc.) Laundry (this has grown into a separate entity of its own) Organize my apartment Writing stories Social life Doing fun things (reading fanfiction, playing video games, etc.) Maybe I can set a goal a week to focus on as far as laundry and stuff goes? The ongoing stuff just needs to be managed. It'd be great if I could make myself stick to a budget too... XD Life Quest: Write All the Words! Write the equivalent of 500 words/day for the duration of the challenge (21,000 words total). The words can be put towards world-building and other planning/outlining tasks or actual writing. I just really want to get into the habit of writing most days. I'd love to be able to self-publish a novella in eBook form by the end of the year. Let's go!
