Two weeks of vacation and getting as much sleep as I normally get over a month has a wonderful clearing effect on the brain. As noted in the black Ribbon thread: Historically, I get home from work late, fuss with things late, get to bed late, get to work late, and build a bad sleep cycle out of it. I overwork out of habit as much as actual need. I also occasionally spend too long reading the internet on breaks, so stay late to compensate. THE PLAN: Tighten up my work day and enforce a lack of overtime unless it's really needed. If I leave work on time, I should have the time to veg some at home, workout, and do things that need to be done, and get to bed on time. 1. Check in here 2x/week and be a good wingman to Nax Prompted by Sara and Nax 2. Leave work by 5:30 every day This means getting there by 9 am. No overtime unless it's dire. Tighten up my leech block settings: less time allowed, add TVTropes and CBC. Bring a book or my knitting for breaks. 3. In bed by midnight/7 hours of sleep In bed by midnight on work nights, or preferably earlier. I'll take midnight though. Be in bed by 2 am on weekends. 4. Workout 3x per week Currently going with "whatever I feel like" as anything is better than nothing, but sort something more structured by end of challenge. 4. More veg, less sweets Too many sweets lately. Don't make it a habit. Removed - food is generally good now that I'm not stress eating. Going to focus on the basics above. 5. Do fun things and listen to great music. Also removed, this will follow if I'm not overworking and undersleeping. Though I will still post music.
