  1. Not quite sure how to phrase my question here... but, essentially, one suggestion I've seen made in many places on how to improve your retention for a martial art and the training in general is to actually take notes on the techniques presented, or that you want to learn/specifically train. One of my frequent training partners actually does just that, in fact. When we meet up to review/train together, he generally has a notebook with him of the techniques he's working on. Specific moves can have anywhere from a few lines to a full paragraph of handwritten notation. I was wondering if anyone else does this and what sort of system they have for it? I've attempted to get into the habit at least once before, but generally all that I do is write down names and hope to recall what I need later... so I was hoping that if someone has a system they might be willing to share.
