  1. Time for Round Three. I'm in it to win it. Goal #1- Survive my wedding. I'm marrying a wonderful girl in 25 days. I can't wait. The stress may kill me before then. Or my family may cause my head to explode. Just need to grind for 25 days then it will all be worth it (3 CHA, 2 WIS) Goal #2- Deadlift 535 for 1 rep. (5 STR) Goal #3- Find a job. My fiancee got a wonderful job opportunity and I left my teaching/coaching career and moved to a new state so she could take it. I wasn't able to find a new teaching position where I am so now I just need income. Anything will do at this point. (3 WIS) Goal #4- Run a mile. I haven't ran a mile without stopping since high school. Kind of want to do it again. (2 STA)
  2. This is my first challenge and I am really excited. I have been working on my transformation for a couple of months and am ready to see how far I can push my self. Here are my goals 1) Deadlift 250 lbs x 5. I am Currently at 180 lbs. 2) Go 100% Paleo. Good bye cheese I will miss you 3) Read 1 book a week for the next 6 weeks 4) Hike 10 miles in 1 day Six weeks, I got this!
  3. I'm basing my challenges this round on popular ad slogans. Marketing guru's seem to think these catch phrases help motivate people to buy their product, so I'm hoping they'll help motivate me to stick to my goals. Nike: Just Do It Quit making excuses on my workouts. Get these scheduled into my days, make a routine, and get it done. Minimum of 3 workouts per week, with a combo of Zumba Strong Lifts, and yoga (gonna give it a try). [3 STR, 1 DEX, 1 STA] Subway: Eat Fresh I'm not planning on eating at Subway, but I like the motto. Stay away from processed junk. Continue to leave out gluten products as much as possible, and stick to fresh meat, veggies, fruit, nuts and cheese as much as I can. Make smart choices when eating out. If I can't easily pronounce an ingredient on a package, don't eat it. Beef: It's what's for dinner Increase my protein consumption as a means to hopefully consume less of the bad stuff (gluten and sugar). This should also help re-establish my gluten free habits, by aiming for at least 90g of protein per day. Combined nutritional goal: [1 CHA, 2 STA] American Express: Don't leave home without it Prepare myself better. Plan a grocery list before going to the store. Prep as much of lunch/suppers for the week on the previous weekend, so things are ready to grab and run out the door or throw in a pan when I get home (this will also help with doing my scheduled workouts, since I won't have to worry about what's for supper when I get home). Lay out kids' clothing (and my own) the night before. [2 WIS, 2 CON] L'Oreal: Because you're worth it Do something for myself twice during the challenge. Massage, facial, manicure, haircut, buying something I want all count toward this. Taking care of myself makes me more able to care for my family, making me a better parent and spouse. [2 CHA, 1 WIS]
