  1. Hi! My girlfriend and I want to get in shape, be healthier, all that jazz. I've been doing nerd fitness off and on for 2 years, started NF coaching (really enjoying it) and have a gym membership. She had lap band surgery a couple years ago, lost some weight, but still has a ways to go as do I. I am 6'5" she is 6'1". Yeah, its pretty awesome. I'd like to help her with her fitness-the exercise part- we are already working on our nutrition side. I know men and women are different (thanks for the talk, dad), so I'm curious as to what we should look into for her strength training, and how that might differ from mine.

  3. Hello everyone! My name is Carter and I am a 33 year old woman living in St. Augustine, FL. I say 'woman' as it's my birth gender, but I associate with the male gender, so there's that. I usually call myself a guy/man, etc. BUT, with that out of the way - I am glad to be here! Nice to meet everyone. I have always been a long-time athlete. From a very early age I have ALWAYS worked out, been active, eaten well, etc. I actually have taken it too far in my youth and was not only anorexic, but an exercise bulimic. I have since gotten back to weight and found a healthy balance of diet and exercise. I have always been a swimmer, a runner, a surfer, a weight lifter, but I just seem to 'not care' anymore. As soon as I turned 30 - it hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm Lazy now. And I enjoy sleeping until the late afternoon/early evening. Waking up, showering, eating and doing nothing. It's the total opposite of how I have been my entire life. I want to change it and get back to working out, doing water sports (like kitesurfing, etc.) but I am ALWAYS hungry and have absolutely 0 energy. What is happening to me? I used to be a Scout who became a Warrior and now I am looking to turn myself into a Ranger. Any advice? Encouragement? Words of Wisdom? Please help a comrade in arms. Thanks.

Any Rebels out there in the Parkersburg area (in West Virginia, I'm sure there's another Parkersburg somewhere. ) that would be interested in meeting up to learn and practice Parkour and/or bodyweight workouts together? (I can teach you the basics, if necessary. I'm no master, but I can handle the basics all pretty well.) I'm thinking of using some of the playgrounds in the publicly available parks around here and some of the architecture downtown, as legally available to the public things. Hit me up if you are interested!
  5. I live in the Crofton area. I frequently workout at the golds gym in Glen burnie during lunch. I love the outdoors and rock climbing. I go to Earth treks frequently. I am hoping to find a workout partner. Really just someone that motivates me to get to the gym on a regular basis. I would love to teach someone how to climb and that as well.
  6. anyone out there from southern Maryland? My hubby and I just got into lifting at home, I also do yoga and distance running. We would love to meet like minded friends or workout buddies!
  7. I'm new to this site (at least the forums; I've been reading the articles for a while now) and I want a workout buddy that wants to workout with me. I want a partner in badass, fun, motivational self-improvement. I'm on day two of my six week challenge (I started a bit late) and I want to push myself to improvement but I need a partner.
