Weekly goals are better for me. I'm still wrangling my mental health, and today I even binged on 1,000 calories of chocolate.

 

I feel overwhelmed, and although I want to 'make forward progress', I don't handle 'failure' very well.

 

So. Refocusing.

So, here is August-September's challenge:

 

Each Week Averages Out At:

 * Some kind of business progress: course plan / client session / launch / resource made. (5 Overall)

 * Three Workouts a Week. Everything counts. (15 Overall)

 * Three Meditates a Week. (15 Overall)

 * 2,084 words written (10,420 Overall = 5 points)

 

BONUS: Complete the #plankonitaugust challenge from the NFA Women's FB Group: a daily plank = 10 points Overall.

I'm going to make my daily logs 'cumulative', especially since I don't check in every single day. Thus, it'll be out of a weekly aim.

 

Week 0, Day 1: 2.7km

Business: 1/1 - Emailed a business brief.
Workouts: 0/3
Meditates: 1/3 - 4 minutes on the sofa.

Words: 333/2,084

Failure is always hard to deal with. I think your weekly goals can definitely help you move forward without feeling the backlash of a bad day. :) 

 

What are you writing? You don't have to be specific if you don't want to but is it a book, short story, poems?

I write fantasy/sci fi/sword and sorcery novels and short stories under a pen-name (krgreen.co.uk) :)

I've not been well. Horrific worry last night. As in, I sat on my bathroom floor rocking back and forth trying to cry quietly so a not to wake my husband up. (Who was awake and gave me cuddles.)
Called in sick today. Went to Burger King. Crossed off 4/39 overwhelming items off my to-do list.
Crawled behind out broken garden fence to help husband fix it. Counting that as a workout.

Plank: Yes. Added 9 seconds to my straight arm plank with lizard feet (extended by about 45cm)

Put together some flat-pack furniture but spent a lot of the day on the edge of low mood/anxiety. Managed to stay out of the 'pit' though :)

Workouts: 3/3 - not officially, but we pulled out the sofa into 3 parts, cleaned in/around/under it and put it back. 
Meditates: 2/3 Will see if I can throw in a few minutes today.

If I can get the meditation in, I'll technically be at 10/10.

Turns out a week off work can actually help me achieve my goals, who knew :P

 - That moment you look at two bags of chocolate sweets and check the sugar content because you now you'll eat the entire thing... I picked the lowest one at 39.g sugar per 100g. The other was 55g so i'm counting that as a win.

 

~ Om nom nom. Let's ignore the pack is 121g and apparently contains 5 servings...~

 

Bad day today: more drama news and I've already texted in sick for tomorrow at dayjob. Feeling guilty and wanting to be productive but will likely watch re-runs of Grand Designs from 1999 instead...

Workouts: 1/3 - Literally to motivate someone in the NFA FB group said "if you go to the gym, i'll workout here."
So I did. 10 inch worms, 10 tricep dips, 10 squats, 5 wall slides, 10 doorway rows, 15 seconds each leg of tree pose.
Meditates: 1/3

I wanted you to know it's my birthday, and I am just under an hour into Horizon :P Just got to L3 and the ability to add skill points.
I have never, ever had a console, having grown up with PC games, so I am SHITE at having the move the camera, thus my aim is shocking. Tell me it gets easier,? :P and my hands will adjust? :P

Also!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! That's awesome! So excited for you to play Horizon. :) If ya got bad aim, I would get used to making health potions/having medicine easily available and upgrade your skill points to slow down time/fire more arrows during that time. OR just stealth tf out of everything, like I did. XD

Hehe, yay! About 2.5 hours in now. Had to stop (I'm not a 'natural gamer': tend to do 1 hour stints then break), but I havent died since the training missions >_>)

Yeah, they make it pretty easy to stay alive which is great cause you feel the tremendous weight of the battle with these monsters... yet you kill them in one go (and much medicine used) which makes you feel like such a badass.
