I'm just redoing my last challenge,  but raising the bar a bit on some goals. 

 

Goal 1: Stay hungry. Not eating much is for me the most effective way to actually lose weight. 

 

Step one: Eat only small, healthy snacks until dinner time. <200 cals, has some damn protein, fiber, and vitamins. My schedule at work makes it so I can have 4 of these. 

Step two: meat and veggies for dinner first,  then carbs till I'm no longer hungry. 

 

Weight goal: 245 lbs.

 

Goal 2: One adventure a week

 

Go visit or see a new thing each week. Hiking in parks,  go to a new store, new restaurant,  visit the damn at museum already. Just gotta get outta the apartment and do something new. 

 

Goal 3: Sweat three times a week.

 

Workout. Doesn't matter where or what. Just break a sweat at least. 

 

Goal 4: Paint 

 

I want to complete a dozen works for my painting/drawing portfolio. My goal is to do three this challenge. The only limitation of that I must paint or draw from life. 

 

Sidequest: Assemble a plein aire painting adventure kit. 

 

Boom! Challenge!

I just got back from shopping. 

 

I spent twice as much on at supplies as on food. 

 

I'm gonna add a sidequest for the painting and adventure goals:

 

Assemble a plein aire painting adventure kit. 

 

Basically getting the gear together that I'd need to paint outdoors while hiking and such.

!!!*****PENDING PR ALERT*****!!!

 

I just dug through my old battle log. 

 

The lowest I ever weighed since joining NF over four years ago was 248 lbs. 

 

Today after work I weighed 248.4 lbs.

 

I'm closing in on a weight PR. Let's do this!

 

I also saw where I was during some tough times and thinking about my priorities now vs. then. My approach these days is so much more relaxed and so much more effective.

Still 248.4 lbs after work today. 

 

I spent most of the day sitting on my butt in training today... drinking a lot of (figurative) Kool-Aid. Otherwise I might have sweat off a few ounces at least. 

 

I'll be getting one of my adventures done this weekend.  I'm joining some friends at the Indiana state fair. 

 

Agenda:

1) Check out the local art exhibits

2) see the world's largest boar

3) baby goats

4) Snakes!

5) Noms (no deep fried twinkies or any of that shit)

 

Also got an idea for a new painting, but I'll have to check the angle of the sunlight into my apartment. I may have to wait for the winter months.

I got my ticket and downloaded their app. Tomorrow is themed as the celebration of deep fried food... so at least I'm missing out on a "day" of that.

 

But it does look like there's a regular deep fried bacon stand.  So that WILL HAPPEN if I walk past it.

Today I felt like crap all day. 

 

We've got a big new project at work remodeling shelves at the warehouse. We've developed a new process and some tools to make it or easier, but right now I'm basically learning a new set of movements for reconstructing shelves and it's just like starting a new workout routine. An equivalent bodyweight Dumbbell circuit routine might be:

 

4 bw squats

4 push-ups

10 curls

2 ohp

 

Repeat the circuit for two and a half hours for times with 15 minute breaks.

 

 I'm fucking sore... not really DOMSY sore,  but just really tired and kinda sore ish,  idk... everywhere. And I've been loading up on the calories at dinner time cuz I fucking need them. The scale has tipped back up to 253 atm. And I've been farting all day because of fucking protein bars. 

 

I might just eat that fucking boar on Sunday.
