He sometimes makes seemingly outlandish claims, and he rubs people the wrong way. The fitness industry is a huge clash of systems and ideas, and they're pretty much treated like politics/religion. But when it comes down to it, he gets things done. According to google it has a smidge of sour dough starter so it can have the label, but otherwise it is regular raised bread with sour flavoring added. Fruit is tasteless and so are veggies. Meat might be the worst. Whenever I go back to Portugal it's a festival of flavors. Bread in there doesn't even classify as sourdough or not. It's just bread. And usually it's sourdough xD hence why I always loved sour bread. Anyways I used to bake my own sourdough pretty easily tho. I reckon I stopped because of the costs and because I tend to eat too much bread.. Which lead to weight gain... It's one of those things. I have no ideia what's happening to the food though. See not that I mind having people tell me what to do and I get results. I really like knowing what I'm doing and why? And what changes I can do in case my environment changes. The exercises to lose fat more quickly, how to gain strength to progress with overhead press and stuff like that. Cause i know that Poliquin advises a bit more reps, less rest period between exercises and tempo to lose fat. At least I remember doing that. And it worked. They also got me to progress with my overhead press somehow. I know that eventually eating less calories is the key.. But they didn't even have me count calories. I like this one, because you put in measurements instead of sizes though! I've got about 6 weeks to figure out what to wear, so it should be enough time (even if they have to custom make based on my size, it should only take 1 - 2 weeks per their website). Also, they seem to have a pretty decent return policy. (Knocking on wood as I type this) I've actually had pretty decent luck purchasing clothing online. I know a lot of people have issues with sizing depending on what country the clothes are coming out of, but that's never been an issue (so far) for me. I actually have a really nice dress to wear for a dinner in two weeks that I got from China without issue. The idea was to have a more practical "sea clothes" set, and a "night out on the docks" set. You can pretty much wear whatever you want to the ren faire! The ren faire is not at all an attempt to be historically accurate. It's more like a fantasy festival. And it's fun as long as you go in what that mentality. You can wear pretty much any version of your choice of pirate attire. You will see some people who are dressing in historically accurate clothing, but most of the outfits, food, and some of the activities are fantasy. For example a big theme for the one in Michigan are these giant turkey legs you can walk around and eat, but turkeys are from the Americas, they didn't have them in the renaissance. Like, I always feel bad when people recommend it because I don't want people to think I haven't tried, but it's just not that easy here (channeling NTB's thread and frustration over not being able to use people's advice). So I live in an area with a huge income discrepancy, so nice things that get sent to thrift stores are snatched up super quick. Plus, we have a huge religious population, so instead of donating, a lot of people give to the church (which then either goes specifically to community members or overseas). Didn't really seem to be any rules to me, and that one looks awesome. And I've bought the majority of my clothing from thrift stores since I was a teenager and it is incredibly location dependent. A lot of people who recommend thrift shops as a blanket solution don't actually have enough experience with a bunch of different shops/areas to realize that the idea of "thrift shops" as a uniform category almost doesn't exist. There are so many variations from city to city and shop to shop. Unsurprisingly, shops that are well organized and located in wealthy areas of big prosperous cities have the nicest stuff. Here in Boston I've made many amazing, improbable finds - everything from a $1500 Italian wool coat to high-quality jeans that fit like a glove and are not worn out at all. It's not uncommon to find stuff still with tags on it. The outfit is going to be mine (after I order it this weekend - I have to do some measurements or I would have already done so). Spoke to the couple we are going with and the girl is actually looking into getting one too. I'm a trendsetter. I also think I appropriately updated my original thread - I've been focusing a lot on school this week because I'm taking it easy before the races. I've gotten through some yoga and some ab work and that's about it. I'm almost done with the current school topic I am working on, so I might even be through all 12 within the next week. This week, we are staying in a different hotel and I do not like it. Next week, I'll be in Charlotte for our annual conference, then the following week I'll work from home. So I've got a few weeks until life goes back to normal. I did set up a meet-up with my co-workers for Monday night, so there may be drunk posting? It'll depend on how I'm feeling and if I feel the need to babysit any employees. I started the meet-up 4 years ago for my first work conference, it's basically everyone at my current level and below, so that we can all put names with faces and know who to reach out for with questions (since we work remotely / on projects, I only see all my co-workers once a year - there are some I only know of through setting this up). Since I send out the invites and such, I make sure the tabs get paid at the end of the night and all that responsible stuff).
