So, I am back again lol. I have fallen off the wagon again and started to put all the weight back on. Over these next 4 weeks, I need to figure out what I  need to do to make something stick. I have been good for 6 months a year then I fall off. I usually end up being a warrior or rock climber. Part of which is I have a very busy life. I work full time...well lots, teach on the side, and I am working on my masters. Also...warcraft got me again. It is the one game I can never let go of. I have been playing since vanilla and god to I love it so. But, this weekend I literally left work early Friday and played WOW nonstop all weekend. I have a great fiance, but she really follows my lead with stuff. Whenever I am good at being healthy she is, and whenever I am not she sits next to me and plays Skyrim (I could not ask for someone more supportive lol). I want to be healthy for her and our future together. So here is to me trying to figure things out again...

 

My goal as of right now is to just get in contact on here every day and to start trying different stuff again. I need to start doing something healthy every day and work on my diet. So, let's try a few simple goals:

1. Eat Paleo Monday-Friday

2. Do something healthy every day: try something new. Either go to a social event, try biking, go for a run, or a hike, etc.

3. Go for a walk at least twice a day. (I have the ability to go on walks to work whenever I want, but I tend to choose to sit at my desk)

4. Do at least one chore around the house a day

5. Do at least one thing to help plan for the wedding every week

Welcome back!

 

Your challenge this time seems kind of vague, but has a lot of parts to it. Have you looked at them from a S.M.A.R.T. goal perspective? I know some people just put a summary up for challenges, but it seems like you could combine numbers 2 and 3. Also, do you have a list of chores / wedding planning activities? I really like listing chores based on how long they generally take. That way, even on busy days, you can take 5 minutes to cross one off.

 

Also, sounds like you've got a built in reward for completing your goals! Good luck this challenge and keep checking in!

So I learned why the food hurt so bad the other day. I have ulcers for the first time. Turns out working 3 jobs and doing grad school at the same time has some consequences lol. So, now I am only allowed to eat the B.R.A.T diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) until it clears up. So much for Paleo lol. I also have to give up coffee for tea. The nurse practitioner I work with has me trying some other foods like plain noodles and sweet & sour chicken with no sauce. So, I have not done really much exercise as I have been in immense pain. Now that the meds are starting to work I got out and mowed the lawn and did house chores so that was nice. I am also super excited for the new WOW patch to drop, I have been waiting to go to Argus for a long long time! As for wedding stuff, I am setting up for Ashley and me to meet with a possible officiant this weekend and I am picking up the wedding band today. I am going to work on getting Ashley to finally pick or colors as well.

Dude, green tea. You need caffeine so "food prep" yourself with a water jug and throw 2-4 tea bags in there the night before, with a squirt of lemon in the morning. Then spend the next day slurping down cold citrus green tea. It'll keep you buzzed but not jittery.
