Still feeling good about my body. And still only eating when I'm hungry. This is really a big win for me!

I woke up feeling very cranky this morning. I blame hormones. Breakfast helped a little. Let's get some work done today! Maybe that will help me feel better too (or not, but the work will still be done ;) )

Today I ate really unhealthy. And it made me feel like crap.

I'm not going to dwell on it, and not going to punish myself. This is in the past. Tomorrow I will take better care of myself and listen to my body again.

 

For those interested: we're doing a not so pvp challenge, and I've written up my workout schedule for who wants to try it :D And yes, there is a lot of shaking involved ;)

Thanks :) It was hard to put thoughts like 'I screwed up'  and 'I need to fast now' to a stop. But I did it :)

 

It took me years to get to this level of danciness. But I am glad I put in the effort. I love dancing so much!

A new milestone yesterday: normally during Zumba/dancehall classes I avoid looking in the mirror as much as possible (it's a small space with a huge mirror, so that's not that easy). But yesterday I didn't. I actually looked. And not only did it help me to dance better, I also didn't mind looking at my own body. Bloated from pms and all :D

 

We got a new choreo during dancehall class, in contemporary style! I've done some contemporary years ago, and I really liked doing it again :)

The sharks attacked viciously this morning. But I took a painkiller and went to zumba anyway. Take that sharks! I even managed a kettlebell session afterwards.

And even though I couldn't give it my all, I had a pretty decent workout. And it actually helped me feel better.

 

I got some great news today: we got an other offer for our house! It's too low, but it's a start :)  I hope the real estate agent can up their bid enough so we can take it. Because of changes with the taxes next year, we have to sell our house this year, or we're not able to afford it anymore. So I'm really hoping this kid will buy our house.

I felt a little better today. I did the groceries, landed a big translation order and got a lot of work done :) 

 

A had a bad day at school. He has trouble concentrating (unless it's something that he's interested in, than you can't reach him no matter how hard you shout :P ), and he got a bad case of anxiety in class with lots of tears :( He really wants to be able to concentrate and get his work done in time. He just started the 4th group (2nd grade), and he has to work a lot harder than he had to last year. It's hard to see how much difficulty he has getting his work done. He's clever enough, and he really wants to do a good job, it's just the concentrating that's a problem. We're going to talk to his teacher next week to see how we can help him. In the meantime: are there any smart nerds here that can offer advise?

Qbert is about the same.  I have no advice.  Once this was noticable in school his doctor put him on some ADHD meds that make a huge difference.  Even with them he has had trouble concentrating but it is improving with age.

You're right - from what I recall when I read the article, the control group ate no breakfast at all. 

I'm more than adequate. Leave Kanye out of this.

And the other group added carbs to their breakfast but cut 300 calories from their dinner to compensate.

I hope it will improve when he gets older for him too. He is not hyperactive, rather the opposite: he is a dreamer. His mind wanders to places that have nothing to do with his assignment. 

I've been reading up a bit, and it looks like ADD. But the more I read about it, the more I see I've got exactly the same characteristics as he has, and my husband has them too... Like a Dutch comedian once said: When your dad is called Union, and your mom Garlic, you can't help it that you smell :P 

We managed to get through school because it was much les individual than it's now. Now they get more individual assignments and things are specified for that child. When we were in school the teacher stoot in front of the classroom talking all day, and we didn't have much individual assignments. And we both were smart enough to ace the test without paying any attention to the teacher ;)

The control group had a high protein, low carb breakfast. The other group a high carb, high protein breakfast that consisted of 300 kcal more. Those were subtracted from dinner. So the number of kcal they both consumed was equal, but the high carb group lost more weight and had a better markers in their blood.
