-Challenge-

 

1) Finish up training for marathon, then run it. 

This is the schedule, starting Week 0. The marathon is Week 3.

Rest 5 m run 5 m pace 5 m run Rest 22 Cross
Rest 5 m run 4 m pace 5 m run Rest 12 Cross
Rest 4 m run 3 m run 5 m run Rest 8 Cross
Rest 3 m run 2 m run Rest Rest 2 m run MARATHON

 

2) C25k with my dog. My boyfriend adopted this wildly energetic older puppy, and I think she's finally old enough to take running. Will try for 3-5 days a week. 

3) Track food and exercise. 

4) Strength. Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Each workout should include abs--  Absmin the abs challenge

5) Stay sane at work-- Get enough sleep, meditate, etc.

Didn't expect a 2 mile run before the marathon ...

Hig and I are having some issues as his Intermediate Half training I has me doing some rather LONG runs midweek and is wrecking me

Did my 7 miler this morning ... not sure I'm thrilled about tomorrows 4.5 miler but I'll get it done

In my experience high miles on a treadmill is a bad idea.  Feels great and then something doesn't feel right when you stop.

 

Edit: to clarify, I usually feel woozy, disoriented and my legs can't get the ground back underneath them for several minutes.  To the point that I sat down on the floor of the Y and wondered if I needed a doctor.

Thanks... You just gave me a great excuse to NOT run on a treadmill... Lol.

I've found they make me shin-splinty. I'll use a treadmill out of desperation, but I'm not quite there yet.

Everytime I think about writing in my challenge I want to complain about something related to fitness or my job, but instead I'll talk about something fun- Destiny 2. Soooo much fun! I'm making many friends and killing it at pvp. Only at 274 so far, but who knows... There's a nightfall session on Saturday with some of my favorite pals, and of course I won't plan to raid, but I'll just find myself in one. That is pure high level sheeeet. Now, if only I could find the perfect shader for my space ship... Bah! Who has time for that?!

This is my idea for next challenge:

            Trash

 

I need structure because while training for the marathon, I got in the habit of eating crazy amounts of food and carbs. Basically, my plan is to structure everything, including exercise and cleaning, so I can truly relax during down time. I've been "beta testing" this schedule and so far, so good. After a week of the cleaning schedule, my house is cleaner than I've ever seen it. It's really nice. :) 

 

Next, I have to figure out my food plan for the challenge. Might go with a basic calorie limit, or might do a whole 30. Still have to think about that one.
