after work I went home and cooked dinner: hot sausage, peppers, carrots, onions, tomato sauce, over zoodles. decided we actually wanted chipotle and boxed up the dinner for lunches :D this got my fiber way over which was good after Sunday being so low. did yoga while finishing the latest season of orange is the new black. how they gunna end it like that on us??

this was prescribed as a 10 minute circuit of squats, push ups, side lunges, and sit ups. I elevated it a bit so I could lift heavy things.

 

after work time got a bit away from me. stopped at two libraries and the bank. tried to help my sister put mp3 files onto her phone. I did get in a minute of hanging but no yoga. also I was supposed to chop ginger for mulling cider during the camping trip but I couldn’t find the damn thing. SO is away on work and wasn’t available for me to ask haha

 

dinner was easy: broiled chicken and frozen vegs but I supplemented with two oatmeal cookies. put me at ~2300 cals and only 28g fiber *sob

oooo, fresh ginger in it sounds really good. I don't think I've tried that in mine yet.

I know these feels. SO made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies yesterday. It made me so happy and the house smelled like fresh baked heaven but the calories and macros....

ginger is the beesknees! also we don't really like cloves or anise so the more ginger/cinnamon the better!

 

does ginger look greenish when it's not fully ripe? does ginger even ripen?

ugh yessss these cookies were from SO's mom and then SO goes off across the country for work and leaves me in the house with cookies. real cool. ;)

Week 4 – Wednesday

 

got to bed late so slept in a bit. still got in 22 minutes of deep stretchy yoga and half of the abs pvp video. I had meant to finish it after work but I didn’t have time. the lentil soup took forever and chopping vegs for camping took forever. I’m actually still doing it.

Yes and yes.  However, if it is just greenish around the edges it is pretty much ripe.  It turns dark brown and wrinkly (kind of like tree bark) when it gets old.

perfect! thank you. it was slightly green around the edges when i sliced into it. i freeze the rest of the root because i don't use it often enough

Week 4 – Thursday

 

TM Day 4

ran 1.12 miles but it took me 12:50 because I ate pavement halfway through. love going into a camping trip with a busted knee!

 

though I was bleeding through my leggings I sucked it up and finished the rest of the workout – 4 rounds of:

10 jump squats

10 presses (10# DBs)

10 DB swings (10# DB)

 

got some more packing done before heading off to work. got out early and finished packing up, dropped off the pupp, and went up to Maine!

Week 4 – Friday and Saturday

 

sister didn’t go to class but I still got in my last TM workout!

30s mountain climbers

 

didn’t track all my food but I got in at least 15g on Friday before having chili over potatoes for dinner. so probably got close. saturday didn’t track at all because no service. we had an amazing weekend in the woods. It was real foggy a lot because of the unseasonable heat but we didn’t care. it also rained a bunch on Sunday morning but we just threw on our jackets and boots and still went off on adventures. loved it. might need to fit it in again next year!

stomach pains are gone but i'll need to keep them away by continuing to take Mg and enough fiber.

 

got in some lifting and started up the Tough Mudder training program.

 

except for week 4 i mostly stuck with getting in yoga/mobility and also improved my hanging skillz. i can now hang for a full minute, even if i can't open up my fingers fully afterwards...

 

so despite being crazy busy this challenge i think i got myself back on track. coming into winter like
