Concentrate Def, Concentrate.  Are Kettles and Kegles' the same?

 

On a more serious note, What do you use for a kettle exercise?  The program that is, it just says Kettlebell, so what are the movements etc.

Here you go. It's just simple swings and using them as weights. If you ask the true kettlebell fanatics, these are not real kettlebell exercises.

I had plans to try some of the Zumba and then a KB workout. I ended up switching to some Just Dance videos.  It was just easier to see using the TV rather than my laptop, plus I got more of a workout because I could follow along better.  I had a great time though.   I ran out of time for the KB workout.  That will have to be Thursday.

Okay after this week of Terah is over it is time to move on!

Some reflection from my side on Terah her routine.
For me it is a surprisingly good cardio routine which triggered some muscles tor me that are usually reserved for "yoga" which incidentaly also happened... perhaps due to my seductive zumba hip thrusting.

The next person to provide us with a look into their regime is

The motions of "yoga" and zumba are surprisingly similar ;)

It is indeed Hammertime.

 

I know my workout requires some equipment.  We'll just have to be creative.

 

Sledgehammer Shenanigans

This workout requires a sledgehammer and a tire (or two).  

  • Tire Slams 12 left handed, 12 right handed
  • 30 second hammer sprints
  • Hammer swings 
    • I hit a smaller tire that is laying flat and try to move it some set distance or do 12 swings with each hand
  • 30 second hammer sprints (optional)
  • Tire flips, usually about 8-12

I usually do this as a circuit, 3 times.  Then follow up with tire slam tabatas - 20 seconds of slams with one hand, 10 seconds rest, switch hands and repeat 7 more times.  

 

But I don't have a tire

Do you have something else you could hit without damaging? a sandbag? a pile of dirt?  

If not, Shovelglove.  Pick any 5 movements (mine are below) Do this as a circuit with 12 on each side and then move on to the next movement.  So 3-4 circuits

 

But I don't have a sledgehammer either

Do you have something else that can simulate a sledgehammer?

 

If not, an alternate workout is the lift heavy things and put them down.  I do these with a barbell but you could use dumbbells too.  I do 3 sets of 5 for each.

  • Deadlifts
  • OverHead Press
  • Squats
  • Bench Press 

 

But I don't have any equipment at all

Find something heavy and try to work in as many of the last movements as possible.

 

Kettlebells, milk jugs, backpack full of books, medicine ball, babies...

Popping in 'cause I saw sledgehammering. That's a good workout. I like how you have hammering alternated with tire flips to work both the anterior and posterior chain. It's all ready a burner, throwing sprints in the middle makes it an ass kicker.

 

ETA: if you bench press a baby, be careful where they're pointing 'cause they will spit up on you.

Keep in mind that when I say sprint, I mean jog quickly.  Especially on the 2nd time around.  Although, recently I've replaced the second sprint with pulling a tired with the hammer inside the rim.

Same.  It pretty much kicks my ass too.  WHich is why I have found it difficult to get 3 full circuits in after lifting.  But I am trying to replicate getting my ass kicked in preparation for getting my ass kicked for real at HR.  2 weeks!!

With hammer sprints, do you mean running around with a hammer in your hand? And if so, do you have an alternative? Because my house is really small, and my yard almost none existent.
