LittleTurtle
It's been awhile. I got really, super frustrated when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease last year. My body hurt all the time. Exercise made it worse. Trying to figure out a new way of eating is still something I'm figuring out. I was/am tired all the time. It appears that I am unable to lose weight or gain muscle no matter what I do. There has literally been no change in my body since January 2014. I just got sick of trying. Then I had a breast reduction in March. Hands down the best thing I've ever done for myself ever. However...I was very limited for quite a few weeks in regards to physical activity. And guess what? A few weeks turned into a big, fat excuse to not do anything for a few months. So, here I am. The good news is I haven't gained any weight. The bad news is...I've turned into an out-of-shape, Netflix-watching, lump of inflexibility. More good news: I found a Naturopath that got me started on the right track of supplements and vitamins that has helped me feel better, and with almost a year of tweaking my diet, I've discovered what a lot of my "trigger" foods are that cause pain in my body. I figured now is as good of time as any to start again. I don't really have a "Big Why". I don't really have any expectations to lose weight or see any change in my body. So what do I want? I simply want to get back into the swing of things. GOALS 2 x week - Treadmill: 2 miles (veerrrryyy gradually begin to jog/run again) 2 x week - Yoga: 20 minutes (focus on flexibility) 1 Quote Spoiler PREVIOUS CHALLENGES 2013: 6/1/13 - 7/24/13 - 9/15/13 - 11/6/13 2014: 1/5/14 - 2/19/14 - 4/9/14 - 6/6/14 - 7/24/14 - 9/11/14 - 11/5/14 2015: 1/2/15 - 2/20/15 - 4/9/15 - 6/2/15 - 9/10/15 - 10/26/15 2016: 1/1/16 - 2/28/16 - 3/28/16 - 6/6/16 - 9/19/16 - 10/26/16 - 11/26/16 2017: 1/1/17 - 9/17/17 2018: 1/1/18 - 2/5/18 - 8/13/18 - 11/26/18 2019: 1/7/19 2020: 9/13/20 Link to comment

LittleTurtle
Well, I just got back from the doctor. Now they want to check my liver, kidney, and pancreas function, and I also have to get an ultrasound for my gall bladder. Good Lord. On 9/18/2017 at 4:30 AM, Vibrantella said: Welcome back! LittleTurtle
My Naturopath just called me to tell me that she ordered more blood work to check for Lupus. Good times. I haven't heard back from the Naturopath, but I was able to look at the blood test that checked for Lupus - it was negative, thank goodness! However, my other doctor has yet to contact me with the results from my other blood tests and ultrasound. I've called twice trying to get in touch, but just get the run around from the snotty nurses. My stomach pain is so intense that it actually hurts to even walk. This is Day 23 of pain and barely being able to eat. Thanks for checking in. It really means a lot. 1 Quote Spoiler PREVIOUS CHALLENGES 2013: 6/1/13 - 7/24/13 - 9/15/13 - 11/6/13 2014: 1/5/14 - 2/19/14 - 4/9/14 - 6/6/14 - 7/24/14 - 9/11/14 - 11/5/14 2015: 1/2/15 - 2/20/15 - 4/9/15 - 6/2/15 - 9/10/15 - 10/26/15 2016: 1/1/16 - 2/28/16 - 3/28/16 - 6/6/16 - 9/19/16 - 10/26/16 - 11/26/16 2017: 1/1/17 - 9/17/17 2018: 1/1/18 - 2/5/18 - 8/13/18 - 11/26/18 2019: 1/7/19 2020: 9/13/20 Link to comment

Sunmage
At least no lupus. Not helpful right now, but treatment options are limited... I hope you get some answers soon. And that it is something that can be relieved quickly Is the doctor worth enduring the snotty nurses? Quote Fate whispers to the warrior: "You cannot withstand the storm." LittleTurtle
This ended up not being a good time for me to join a challenge. I'll try again at a later time. In the meantime: After much headache and strife with the clinic and not being able to get a follow-up from the physician (not the Naturopath...she is amazing and I love her)...I compiled a list of dates, interactions, attempts to get in touch with the physician and made a formal complaint. The compliant seemed to get the ball rolling because the physician called me the next day. Something showed up on the ultrasound and I need further evaluation, so I'm scheduled for a CT with contrast on Monday, Oct 9th. I've had this damn abdominal pain for over a month now, so I'm ready to start feeling better for sure.
