For sure. Also, this time around I'm taking a much slower fat loss goal (<1 lb/week) vs. taking the most aggressive weight loss in the past (~2 lb / 1 kg per week) and as a result a lot more tasty stuff is fitting into my food plan this time around (plus I'm more cognizant of not depriving myself of sleep to fit in more workouts). So theoretically should be a lot easier to ramp off the cutting without going straight to binge eating ALL THE THINGS. We'll see if practice lines up with theory.

 

And update on yesterday: work was a dumpster fire for focus (too many things screaming for attention so none of them got done well and I spent a ton of time hiding from my to-do list on the internet - unhelpful coping strategies FTW). But I stayed on track-ish with cut calories - actually went a couple hundred over tolerance, but it was a conscious choice to put more fuel in after a grueling dance practice. And did the PT thing. Still no sign of Duolingo practice, but I will maybe change that this week or over the weekend. Oh, and weighing in this morning was another 3 month low at 171.6# - I'm guessing some of this might just be water weight from drastically increased cardio the past couple days, but I'll take the momentary ego boost. :D

Well, the past two days have not been a celebration of my focus as an employee. But on the plus side, lifting has gone well!

BB Row:

DB Press: 35 x 12, 12, 12, 12, 8

BB Curls: 40 x 12 x 3

BB LTE's: 40 x 12 x 3

Finished with Pilates, got up to 31 out of 40 exercises

Quick update on yesterday / this morning:

  • Still no sign of German practice
  • I was a total waste of space at work yesterday - me and sleep deprivation do not go well together
  • Did my PT stuff
  • Skipped the gym in favor of more sleep this morning - gonna just shift the workout to next week, which was supposed to be a deload.
  • For anyone who's curious, being well-rested then imbibing large quantities of coffee leads me to bounce around the office like a freaking cartoon character. SO. MUCH. ENERGY!!
