ixaera
Day 4 check in Exercise: Bench day happened I'm trying something different with deload, where instead of just going in and warming up and leaving, I do a shorter but still fairly heavy workout. I might have done it wrong? Well, here goes. Bench Press 1x5 45 lbs 1x5 55 lbs 1x3 65 lbs 3x5 80 lbs DB Overhead Press (standing) 1x5 30 lbs 3x5 40 lbs T-Bar Row 3x5 80 lbs (This was SUPPOSED to be 70 lbs but I misloaded and ran with it, was definitely above a deload RPE for this one) Wide-grip Lat Pulldown 3x5 80 lbs Cable Face Pulls 3x15 40 lbs (This one you can't really go heavy, at least, I haven't figured that out.) EZ-Bar Skullcrushers 3x8 34 lbs (Actually a random PR? I didn't realize til I logged it.) EZ-Bar Standing Curls 3x8 34 lbs (Here's another rando PR I guess) Probably not supposed to PR or do so many accessories on a deload, oh well? I DEFINITELY deloaded my main lift at least, and I guess that's the most important thing. (Note: Part of the reason there was so much is I'd look at the time and realize the school zone was still happening and kept going... next time I'll just hop on the treadmill) Food: Great success Didn't make any alterations to meal plans yesterday, have some ideas today for organizing them. Did not use any of the $7 left of this week's food budget yesterday. (Today will be another story... I forgot my water bottle AND my tea...) I may not hit protein today, OR I'll go over to hit it. We'll see. I ate the rest of my bday cake for bfast, so Money: More logging happened. At 3.13/50 for unnecessaries. Writing: Got some in! The slow plod toward feeling normal continues. ixaera
Day 6 check in Exercise: Squats 5x5 85 lbs Leg Press 4x8 185 lbs Suitcase Carry 3x50 steps or so 30 lbs (each side) This was easier this time so I'll use the 35 lb dumbbell again next time Roman Chair 4x13 22.5 lbs Superset Leg Curls 4x10 60 lbs Leg Ext 4x12 50 lbs (the "easy" machine, I dunno why it's easier--but the one I like now was missing the pin to set the weight) So, I wore heels on Thursday. My back had been feeling good and I was like "oh ok maybe I can wear heels now" nope. Nope. Still kinda getting over the additional soreness and aches. The good news is for the most part, my workout did not agitate it. So the takeaway here is that heels are now only for occasions where nearly no walking will be happening at all. Food: Fail, low on protein. I saved calories for alcohol. Nothing today on the meal plan project, but since a new week and a new grocery trip is incoming, this will get some love shortly. food budget still at $68/75, unnecessaries at 9.28/50 but am likely to move about $7 of that over to food at the end of the day since it is basically all sodas. Money: More logging happened, keeping myself in check. Writing: Got some in again The budget is doing a lot of good. It kept me from ordering cheese fries while quite tipsy, which is interesting that drunk me cares more about money than food budgets. (The drinks were on my friends as a belated bday thing.) Unfortunately, I got TOO tipsy, missed dinner, and felt like death this morning. It's better now post-breakfast but hooboy did my blood sugar get low. No more of that, self. Today I may not do the elliptical thing, but yoga USUALLY helps with hangover issues so I'm determined to get that in soon. I actually just remembered I forgot to count my tolls to the gym yesterday, then remembered yesterday was day 8 and I still have time this morning. That's been interesting. I always knew roughly how much I spent on tolls per month but hooboy thinking about how much it's lodged into my daily life is a little depressing. (Especially considering that in the morning rush hour it's not PARTICULARLY speedy and gets crazy backed up, just faster than taking backroads.) I use my chromebook to write because I can just kinda hide in whatever corner, but my desktop was visible and it has all kinds of chat programs and I could see anytime someone was typing at me or starting a game. I can just turn the sound and monitor off next time if I'm going to sit in the same room. 1 Quote Link to comment

I hate how the gym feels on a cut. (BTW I mistyped "but" and almost just added a "t" I'm so over deficits) Bench 5x5 73 lbs (I was supposed to do 74 but misremembered I guess when I was putting everything into fitnotes prior). Way harder than it should have been Wide Grip Lat Pulldown 5x5 80 lbs Right before my last set some guy appears and just sits on the thing. He finally adjusts it, does a set, I expected him to get up and I'd just hammer out my last one right? lol no, he breaks out his phone and keeps sitting there, so I had to ask to work in. (He was nice, just didn't at all do what I expected) There was a strongman thingie going on so the T-Bar Row was obstructed, so I did DB rows. 3x10 25 lbs Giant Set Upright Rows 1x10 1x12 1x15 10 lbs each hand EZ-Bar Skullcrushers 3x12 34 lbs EZ-Bar Curls 2x8 34 lbs 1x3 34 lbs 1x10 24 lbs (last set just b/c I didn't get many reps at the end) I petered out there. Funny story, second to last set, I was pulling myself up after the skullcrushers and the seat unhitched and it messes with my back to do a straight sit up with a 34 bar on my belly so I dumped it. A guy was running over to "help" me lol Kind, I guess, but 34 lbs isn't a big deal to ditch especially with no one around. I mean, if I am also curling the thing, I don't think I'm going to get stuck under it. Food: Fine, proteins good. Planned out my meals this week and made sure they fit and had the micros I wanted too. I brought the stuff to stay on course, we'll see. SO, I did way better at the store, I just didn't need as much. I still have 3 lbs of chicken, 4 cans of tuna, and extras of some other things, so I only spent like $33, and even with my random kolache thing I'm only at $37 for the week. I have enough to order in! I could order a cut up chicken from Cowboy Chicken if I wanted (but won't, that's harder to fit on the deficit). Unnecessaries now at 5.23/50 Money: Spent tolls, gas, groceries, logged it all. Writing: Brainstormed. I got my characters into a BIND so I gotta plan how it plays out and what is next.
