Jord
Friday cals: 2122 Went to the gym late and did 35+ min treadmill hill walk, which was wimpy but I woke up lighter this morning so I'll take it. I didn't want to go, but I remembered my goals and Laghail and Br0din told me to suck it up buttercup. Well, Laghail told me I could do burpees at home, but F that noise. I'd rather climb out of bed at 8 pm and drag myself to the gym than do burpees. 21 hours ago, CourtnieMarie said: you got this! stopping when satiated is so hard for me when i'm surrounded by delicious foods. Jord
Friday cals: 2122 Saturday cals: party party party Sunday cals: 2136 Trying to keep cals moderate because I'm testing 1RM this week and need the energy. Saturday I got up bright and sun-shiney f'in early to try to get in some exercise before the halloween party. I got to farfit right when it opened at 8 am, then I went for a bright and early mini-hike. But my ankle started to bug me halfway, so when I came to a crossing with the paved part of the park, I slow walked the paved trail back to the parking lot. Laaaame. Partied a little too hard on Saturday night and my left hip is sore. I brought tylenol with me today and I'm hoping it won't affect my 1RM squat test this afternoon. If I feel like i bombed it though I can repeat it on Thursday. On the plus side pretty sure drunk danced off a chunk of calories. Zero week cardio on point: Date Earned Minutes Notes Wed, Oct 18 $1.67 20 elliptical Fri, Oct 20 $3.08 37 treadmill Sat, Oct 21 $4.58 55 hike/walk Zero Week $9.33 Did side planks on Saturday. Missed them yesterday. Realized I don't have my plank alarm set to go off every day automatically. Went to set it this morning for the week and realized I had actually deleted it. Fixed that. But it's Week 1, giving myself a clean plank slate and away we go! On 10/21/2017 at 7:40 AM, Vibrantella said: Well, that's better than looking constipated! (Who, me? Not at all!) Jord
Monday cals: 2328 (maintenance on purpose) Cardio: skipped hoping my hips will finish recovering for deadlift testing tomorrow (Wednesday) Gotta fuel those 1RMs. Squat test: First PR attempt for a 5# PR went great, 145#! Then coach said I should put on at least 10# more and I thought he was joking but he was not. So 155# away we go! I did it, but I felt like I was frozen in time for a second. He said depth was just barely there but he called it good. (He competes and takes BB club athletes to meets and is used to judging lifts so I know he wasn't BS'ing me.) The main thing is I never handle weights this heavy normally, so I still need to get comfortable squatting to depth. The heaviest singles I've done for working sets have been 125# so far. For the purpose of planning my next program, going with 155# max is the way to go. That's a 15# squat PR folks! Bench test: First PR attempt for a 3# PR at 85# seemed pretty breezy. Before my arm surgery in May I had gotten 82#. The end of the previous program (6-7 weeks ago) I only got 80# post-surgery. So this is an all time 3# PR, but since the last test, 5# bench PR. Which is pretty decent because bench is lame. Then we went for 90# and I just didn't have it in me. I rested a bit and went for 87#, didn't get that either. I think if I had done 87# first instead of 90 I could have gotten it, but I'll save that for the end of my next program. TL;DR, bench with my shit arms continues to be bench. lol. 21 hours ago, Urgan said: Sans the sweet release of death, of course. You can use things like balsamic vinegar, red wine, or Worcestershire sauce for this. 2 hours ago, Alanna said: Hope your 1RM test went well . And planning for a powerlifting meet is exciting!
