WEEK 1 UPDATE!

A very good showing for week one!   Here's the BuJo tracker for the week!

RuxHEGP.jpg

Goal 1  Plan - I will strength train 3x per week this challenge, on Mon, Wed and Fri.

Goal 2  Plan - I will run (or run-walk) 6-9 miles per week, covering a total of 30 miles this challenge.

Goal 3  Plan - I will track my calories in through MFP, aiming for 7 days/week but allowing three variances per challenge for outings/meals that are just too much of a wild guess to input.

Goal 4  Plan - I will sketch traditionally or digitally 4x per week.

Goal 1 Results :: 3/3   Good, solid lifting sessions on each!  I've whacked the heck out of that terrasque!

Goal 2 Results :: 6 miles of running with zombies and 2 miles of dancing to get 3/3 of sweat days!

Goal 3 Results :: Tracked every day, and went over my 1800 calories just once at the Halloween party.

Goal 4 Results ::  Got 4 art days in.

Life Goals

Only had 2 meals out.   One "nice" meal, and one quick but clean meal.

Cooked at friends house yesterday, for this week, and ate previously batch cooking food this past week.

DM'ing on Saturday.

Oooh man.  I have a new goal.   Can we say that if I do 1000 damage in one session, it's a CRIT?!    The pull ups are doing fairly well, hopefully I can get back to my sets of 5 soon!

And yaaay, narrative!

Are you kidding me?  You're 25 damage away from 1000 in a session.  That's ONE REP with +25 pounds on the bar.

Nah.  You're gonna have to do 1250 damage in a session to crit. ;) (Gotta keep it challenging for you!)

Monday Crumday!     Crazy, hectic, oi!  No bueno.

Tracked calories.  Fine there.

Took a rest day as I had worked out 7 days straight and I was a bit banged up from hockey.

I did get some art time in, and need to decide which mouth for our little halfling Paladin with big dreams.

Happy because he's getting a portrait done, or a little unsure of the whole thing?

7wPj1oc.jpg           ESPv3Bq.jpg

I'm leaning toward the one on the right... or the idea of messing with more mouths.    I NEED MOUTH HELP!

Tomorrow is a super busy day.

Work, lift at work, home, trick or treat with Princess Leia and Boba Fett, over to friends, eat dinner we made on Sunday, then Divinity II.

I love that you wrote in his being ashamed of his heritage!!!  That's so often an overlooked option in character backstory.  Even better that it's a Green Dragon heritage, the most conniving and scheming of all the Chromatic Dragons.  For what purpose was Vulluin conceived by this unknown Ancient Green Dragon?!

Thanks man! I though it would be interesting to play, and I quite liked the idea of him hiding his heritage, and it being that very heritage that makes him so good at hiding it.

It's amazing how much a change in mouth sets the tone for the whole face. I also like the one of the right but would be happy to see more examples!

Hey Puck! Guess what?! I'm finally getting back on track! WOOT WOOT!

I'm updating my goals again since I have past through the most stressful and busiest part of life recently with the last weekend. I'm now trying to stick to 1,900-2,100 calories in my diet and so far I"m doing pretty good! I made awesome soup of awesomeness on Sunday and am eating that the rest of the week. super low cal, but oh so tasty! I encourage everyone to try this:

https://www.aspicyperspective.com/creamy-chicken-tortellini-soup/2/

This is seriously now my favorite thing to eat. It's a pain to make because it's a lot of chopping veggies, but it's totally worth it. This is the third time I've made it. So much yum!

So, yesterday I hit 1,906 calories! Doing good so far!

I think I may be doing too much.    And, sure, it's all stuff I love, and want to do, but I am feeling like I never have a day where I can wake up and go 'gee, nothing planned... lets just take it as it comes'.     Friends wanted to do Thor on Saturday.  I really wanna see that movie!!!  I love Marvel, and Tom Hiddleston.   But not this week.  I just can't do it.    I made a thing to see how strapped I was with "planning" and ... ayup.   Pretty packed.

fpaMppk.jpg

This week has been nuts at work too, with my coworker being out.   So I am way behind on other peoples threads and with story update here.   The bright side?  I'm doing really well on challenge side of things!

Next week should be better poppets.

Update for today - oi.

Food, tracked and on point.

Exercise, ran on my lunch break, including a mile straight of running.

Art, colored a smiling Roscoe with flats, shading on next art night.

BuJo, did some bujo'ing, including that separate but very connected weekly schedule plot thing.

0xibgmL.jpg

Tomorrow is work, a lift during lunch, then over to friends house for pre-cooked food and D&D.

I have to say, that while the shopping/cooking on Sunday can be super stressful and time consuming, my weekday meals are super healthy and cheap and ready to eat when we get to the house.    That has been a super positive change!

Yeah, it's tough.   I mean, it's all stuff I wanna do.   I just end up feeling trapped by having to do it, and having so busy a schedule that I have to plot ahead to do it.   I did say No to Thor on Sat!    And maybe, I need to learn to consider my art time as free/me time just with something I want to keep at practice... dunno.

It is all fun!   And part of me wonders, if I were... well, if I had a S.O.  Many of those things would be 'free time', done at home,  in the company of my SO, and I could start/stop when I felt like it.   But this is basically, a home away from home and a Bestie instead of a SO, so it's a planned outing, rather than casual co-habitated downtime doing something I want...

... which then leads my brain to some serious thinking that triggers all anxiety.

Hoping things calm down soon, but at least I'm managing some updates.

Friday : Terrible day at work, had to work partly through my lunch hour, so did not get a run in.   It was probably for the best as work was so stressful, I was fighting off major tension headaches and throbbing.    I still tracked my food, and while I had a beer and an extra cookie at my friends house, I was still technically under maintenance.

Saturday : Only halfway through, and I may end up having a day I cannot track.  I joined my sis and her hubby for breakfast out, and had my most favorite pulled pork skillet.  I ate only 65% of it, and skipped on the pancakes and toast, but I am sure it's a calorie dump.    Not that I have ANY idea how to track it.     I came home from that and finished up my picture of Roscoe so I've nailed all 4 days of arting.    A gym session is planned; but guys, it's raining and cold, and my desire for blankets, hot chocolate and Netflix is SUPER strong.    We're playing MY D&D game later, and planning to go out for dinner at 4pm with the group of us.     Might just take the day as a variance.   I kind of badly need a 'no stress' day.

Week 2 Recap... ugh.

What a lousy week.

Work was beating me up so bad, that by the time the weekend came, I had Zero Fox to give...

OSnwckL.gif

I did not run/move for the 3rd day.   And I did not make my 3rd lifting.   I also did not count calories at all on Sat/Sun.   I pretty much did nothing on Fri, Sat, Sun and I was still crabby as all heck most of the weekend, and feeling run down.

I've fallen so behind on here, that it feels overwhelming to catch up, and my BuJo layout and joint party adventure story has fallen so far behind that I nearly want to quit and just start over!   I always start over though.   I need to learn to bear through the imperfections.    I think I will just do what I can and ... using my BuJo, set up what things are priority.

As for what I did get done this past week.

Art - 4/4, I did manage to get all my art in.

Night Teeth Brush - 7/7, this is becoming a habit I think.

Night Floss - 3/4, this would be easier to accomplish if it didn't take so much time, and if I didn't have 4 nights a week that I get home after 11pm and am just exhausted.

Lifts - 2/3

Runs - 6 miles (2/3 days)

I ate home cooked, pre cooked stuff on my Tues, Thur,  Fri night out.    This cooking on Sundays to eat when at friends house is saving my butt on the calories/healthy/finances side of things, but I can oddly, STILL BOTCH THE HELL OUT OF A WEEKEND.

Friend and I beat Trine on Sat.   I watched more Soul Eater (love it), ran my D&D game on Sat, and played Star Wars on Sun.     It was a very event oriented weekend.     And sometimes (all the time) I fail to realize that events out of my house, with friends, doing what I want to do, even if it's low key... is STILL MENTAL/SOCIAL ENERGY and ADDS TO A FULL SCHEDULE.

@Oramac asked me the last time I had a day to myself to relax, do what I wanted, when I wanted, by myself, no distractions or people around.  Just spending a full blown day by myself.   The answer?  May 26th.     I know that sounds nuts, but since I live with family-roommates, I don't get days to myself often.  May 26th, they were in Florida.  I woke up, took a solo bike ride.   Came home, read.   Cooked some dinner for later.    Then sunbathed by myself in the yard.   It. Was. Glorious.       But yeah, that was the last time I had NOTHING on my schedule, and played a day out totally by ear,   and by what I felt like doing at the moment.     This may be a sign of a problem.      And something I need to dig into more.

As for this week.    I leave for vacation in two weeks, so there's a bit of 'get everything situated' mode starting up.  I think the BuJo will help a ton.    I'm also going to start figuring out to PLAN for 3-4 hour down time windows for myself.   Windows where, if I end up just sitting half dressed at my computer, browsing the web, it's okay.   And guilt free.

Yes!  That is the point! Take time purely for yourself.  It really does help.

Image result for floss picks

Flossing is so much easier and faster with these.

As for time, the first thing that comes to mind is for you to maybe pick 1 of the pen & paper RPGs to play.

Those flossers would be great... except for the permanently cemented line of metal retaining my lower teeth post orthodontics hehe.  I COULD do the rest of my mouth with those things, and then just fish a regular bit of floss into the lower chompers.   That might be the way to go.

As for the time... pick just ONE pen and paper game?   Oh gosh Tank, you're talking madness now.  Complete and utter madness!     :)

The saving grass is that, outside of anime series with friends, I don't watch tv.   So my 4 hours a couple nights a week basically balances out to most people's tv habit.

Hoping to get early to bed tonight after some Witcher (Just spared a Werewolf, because, I am on team Werewolf with @Wild Wolf and I want to make @Jarric twitch in his coffin!)  Might also finish up the last two episodes of that anime I was not that fond of, just to finish it off.  And/or some reading.   After brushing and flossing of course.
