Because falling down and getting back up is what RAPTRONNNN STUFF is all about. I do gymnastics, lift weights, bake pies, run around sometimes, and really, really, really like themes and costumes.

1. Sunday Funday

*Work out every Sunday

I have so much trouble getting to the gym on Sundays, but WE GOTTA, ok?! There are only like 6 weeks until my powerlifting competition on Dec. 2!

 

2. Don't Forget to Assassin

*Vault 2x

*Uneven bars 4x

*Back handsprings on high beam at least 2x

*Routine/choreo run-through at least 2x (<-- which means I have to have it ready to gooo!)

Just because I am competing in powerlifting doesn't mean I should ignore the incoming gymnastics competition season, especially as there is a meet I could choose to compete in as early as Dec. 10!

 

3. Eat More Good

*Aim for eating real meals at home (dinner with a vegetable, sitting down) 7x week

*Eat out < 8x over challenge

I'm a little soft around the edges right now from all the travel and wanton disregard of nutritional needs. I do want to actually compete in the weight class I signed up for, after all, and once that is over, leotards are pret-ty small. I am not doing a formal cut or anything, but there are some unnecessary indulgences I can stand to lose for a bit. I maintain within like a 10 lb range and am just at the higher end of that range right now.

 

4. New Beginnings

*Apply for a job that I am genuinely excited about 2x per week

It's time to turn over a new leaf! I love my workplace but there is no growth potential and I want to start being serious about seeing what is out there for me.

Oh, you know it. I have a fewwww Halloween parties this year so I am being a trash fire, Demeter, the party pharaoh (which was my title on the rec team board), and this vampire slayer/wine mash-up that I haven't fully fleshed out yet but boils down to ROSÉ AND SLAY.

I am not exactly sure, which is part of why the "exciting" part of the job application process will be really important for me. I'm mostly looking into roles that are in the project management vein, but across a few different industries. My current organization is focused on really bringing together diverse viewpoints to create concrete timelines and outcomes soooo it's given me a skill set that is almost universally useful. I just have to convince potential employers of that. :D

THEN, because I hate myself slash feel really out of good condition, I did some jumping:

2 x 50' x frog into tuck jump back down to frog jump

2 x 50' x lunge, lunge into jump switch lunge, lunge etc.

 

That sucked.

 

(Counters won't start til next week but it feels weird without it)

Day 0.3

You know what? I took a day OFF. Bold move, I know. I decided to move bench day to Thursday and went home and did a big load of dishes, made chicken nachos, watched some Bojack Horseman, and finished up a D&D one-shot a friend of mine is running on roll20. Rest of the week looks like this:

 

Thursday - bench day, laundry, put together costume for Friday

Friday - deadlift day, shower and change at friend's house, Halloween party #1

Saturday - gymnastics practice, shower and change and put together second costume, Halloween party #2 -> fall harvest dinner party thing

Sunday - accessories day, meet up with a friend... or convince my friend that he should come over and we should make cookies :D


Monday I am getting my arm implant replaced which causes serious bruising and inflammation for a couple of days so I probably won't be able to do upper body work on Monday or Tuesday, SOOOO I am thinking one of those days could be a great option to start working on my floor choreography! I wound up mixing a Footloose + Dirty Dancing track so I will obviously need to rewatch these films for inspiration. ;)

Bench day is such a quick day during this microcycle.

 

10 x 45#

5 x 75#

5 x 95#

3 x 115#

4 x 3 x 125# (<-- probably should have done 130# but I've been a bit cautious about bench for... no good reason lately)

2 x 3 x 115# w/2s pauses

 

Push-ups: 3 x 10

Pull-ups: 3 x 2 (<-- my pulling power is trash lately)

Lat raises: 3 x 12 x 10# DBs

DB OHP: 3 x 12 x 20# DBs

Glute med PT, SI joint PT, and hollow holds for extra time-killing PT and core work.

 

Schedule

Thursday - bench day√, laundry√, put together costume for Friday√

Friday - deadlift day, shower and change at friend's house, Halloween party #1
