SOOOOOOO you may notice a theme with me as of late (or as of always?!?! HAHAHHAHHAHA.)  I am in the middle of a show run (almost done!) and then I have already started working on another show which will be hitting tech week in about 3 weeks and then we just found out the same pieces + well will probably do a few more can be done as part of a different show that is a few weeks later in the first week of December. Sooo basically I am going to be doing 3 shows back to back.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Anywho! I have to keep my goals super basic because I know how crazytimes this next approx 1.5 months will be!

 

 

GOALS

 

Try to get at least 6 hours of sleep - Try not to drop below 6 hours of sleep per day! This isn't always under my control especially on tech weeks but, at bare minimum if I get 6+ hours at least 4 days a week I want that to be my baseline minimum.

 

Eat better food  - Do at least SOME meal prep on weekend (bare minimum is buy healthier premade crap from trader joes or something) so I am not stuck having to eat food out and about so much. I am not getting enough veggies and it makes me the sadness!

 

Downtime - get at least 2 consecutive hours of downtime at least one evening per week. Get at least one solid chunk of 4+ hours of downtime one day per weekend. (Once again this isn't always under my control during tech weeks but I will try!)

 

Drink more water- Drink at least 6 glasses of water a day on all days, and 8 glasses per day minimum on dance days/days when I sweat like a mofo. Also, if I drink beer for dinner make sure I have a night cap of water before I go to sleep (8 oz glass minimum. If it was a lot of IPA a full 16 oz bottle may be in order!) Basically DRINK MORE WATER.

Also considering adding life goals of STOP BUYING SO MUCH MAKEUP and make time to go on a date at least once every 2 weeks ....I am thinking the first one should be manageable but realistically finding time for dates right now is like HAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHA.... "hey do you want to hang out in my one hour of free time I have this Wednesday?"  Though to the dude I was chatting with who was actually being kind of a dick about that -- legit if you can't handle that my life is like this sometimes then you will not be able to handle dating me anyway!!!

Also...uh. I just remembered that the weekend after the show that is mostly likely the first weekend of December I have a Spartan Sprint... HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

It might be crazy, but it is all things that you love! I'm glad you are keeping your downtime goal though. :D

I SURVIVED WEEKEND 2!! WOOT WOOT. Show #1 of the season is a wrap! I am in a weird headspace this week though.

 

Post show is always a weird feels time-- productions are such a rollercoaster of emotions! Just two weeks ago we were ramping up and prepping for this run and spending tons of time together and then we get two great weekends of goofing off backstage and putting on a show together and then...done. Like hey I might never see you guys again <3 but hopefully I will!

 

So basically I have some slight post show mopeyness, plus I am craving downtime SO BAD because of the hectic schedule during the run, plus I am a cranky panda because it's shark week. YARGH.

 

I DID decide to stay home yesterday though and that helped some! My sinuses were being dumb and I was going to go anyway but then my carmate said he wasn't going up with me in the morning to work and I was like ALL THE EXCUSE I NEED WOOHOO.

Also, rehearsal tonight is cancelled and I am SO HAPPY. TWO FREE EVENINGS IN A ROW!??!!?!? What will I do with myself?!

I basically spent all day yesterday watching Flash/Arrow/Legends of Tomorrow. It was GLORIOUS. (Also it's like 100 degrees F here right now because California is weird and confused about what "fall" means, sooo yeah I was not doing ANYTHING useful yesterday!)

 

Tonight my plan is aerial for an hour and then sitting around like a lazy lump in pajamas, hugging cats, drinking beer, and watching some more TV :D hahahaha

I ended up having THREE free evenings in a row! I highly doubt that will happen again for a while! It was lovely. I still feel like I need a weekend to just hermit sometime soon. It's like I could mostly hermit this weekend but I would have to miss Halloween party on Saturday. Hmmmmm. And I am not missing my friend's memorial on Sunday for sure. I figure I will see how I am feeling on Saturday!

 

I think so far I am actually meeting all my goals except the water one, BUT I am at least doing better on drinking more water than I have been! Baby steps! I've been consistently falling asleep by 12 at latest and I get up at 6, so, 6 hours! Yay! I did meal prep at least a little on the weekend so I at least have been bringing food most days as well (although said food still does not have enough veggies! It's still an improvement over fast food though!)

 

SO CLOSE TO WEEKEND I CAN TASTE IT. ARGH

Sooo life is nuts. Thus the no updates. Work is super stressful right now and I have a bunch of adulting shit I need to get done and it's just a lot! Like. I want to be making time for fun stuff but on free evenings I mostly find myself sitting around drinking beer like AAAH YES UNSCHEDULED TIME YESSSS. In spite of two weeks in a row with multiple evenings in a row I'm just feeling so drained! Also dance is very much in the not fun category right now because people drama type reasons so yeah. I did two fun things this weekend but realized I have little brain for making conversation other that explaining all the reasons I'm stressed and that's not really fun. Like literally mind was blank trying to think of other things to talk about other than about stressss or about grocery store crush dude but like, I feel so one-note right now!!

 

So basically short version of my life right now is "ARGH AAAH SO MANY THINGS TO DO, and <3 <3 grocery dude who I have still YET to manage to give my number to or find out if he is single." WHEEEE hahaha.

I R terrible about updates, clearly!

 

I have been successful ish with eating better and doing more meal prep, so yay. 

 

My drink more water goal has been slightly better but still not to where I want it to be.

 

I actually have been able to reach downtime goals so far, so yay! 

 

However the sleep goal is just...not going well. The past week and a half or so I have been having trouble sleeping due to stress so pretty much I'll have a day with only 4 hours of sleep and then I'll have a day where I sleep well and then a day where I only get 4 hours of sleep, and that pattern just repeats. I find days when I do a legit workout I sleep a lot better so I am trying to figure out if I can just workout every day so I can sleep? But I don't want to not have rest days because those are important!
