Couch potato in transition

Hello, I am a librarian who wants to just sit on my couch and read.  I have two high schoolers who are involved in activities and sports.  They keep me going, so when I'm not working, cleaning/cooking, running to and from their activities I just want to sit.  I went on my first 15 minute walk on the treadmill today.  Yay me!  I only have about 15-20 pounds to lose but I want to strengthen with basic physical activity.  My goal isn't to be a body builder or fitness guru.  I just want to be healthier and more active. So, here I am!
