Daily Dare (Nov 26 - Dec 30)

So... things got a little on top of me for a few days, but I'm back with my first EC of the challenge! :D

The backfists were easy enough for ec.

 

Today's though? 30 jump lunges FFS! Nope. I got 17 before I topped over. 13 in the second set to make up the 30 but no way can I do those for EC!

I modified the pushups to negatives (full pushup on the way down, then drop your knees on the way up). You could also do the pushups on your knees, or even just substitute a plank for the pushup.

Makes me feel better to hear you say that. I made it to 22 and felt really guilty about stopping. But it was one of those things where my body just decided to stop.

 

Haven't been posting but have been DD'ing every day

Fri: Butt kicks with EC

Sat: Climber taps with EC

Sun: Back punches with EC

Mon: Jumping lunges, no EC

Yes, I am no longer able to access google docs because my proxy software doesn't work very well anymore :(

Crunch kicks done with EC.

 

Since WhiteGhost can't see the results, I thought he might like to know how well he's doing :-)

That takes WhiteGhost up to 20 points (10 challenge with EC) and the uncontested lead

I think Jonfirestar is likely sitting in second (15 points logged, but I don't think he's logged the past couple days)

I'm likely in third with 16.

There are a few others pretty close (and I know some of you might have more completed Dares to log)...right now I see Inazea and CheshireCrab tied with 12 (almost at Bronze!), Diadhuit with 9, Jarric and Rhovaniel tied with 6, Morag with 9, and KBGirl with 3.  

 

Let's see how many of you can hit Bronze this week!

Yeah, I hadn't logged. I've done them all, only one without EC. I'm trying to math it and i think that's 21 The last couple of days have been fairly easy. Though it probably wasn't wise to leave it until after I'd finished my workout to do the Superman Extensions.

 

So I'm in first until @WhiteGhost wakes up ;)

Yep :D unfortunately there is no way to gain lost ground. The competition is on who can be the most consistent over the long term.

Today's dare was part of my workout this morning, but because the dare period doesn't start until the afternoon for me, they didn't count.  Done for EC tonight

Aaaaand once again today's dare is a repeat from my workout this morning. 

 

I have come up with a pretty good program for doing these - each night before Ghostlet goes to be we do the dare together.  He will always do the EC version, but modified to fit his abilities (last night was him just lying on his back and lifting his head off the floor 20 times) :D

That's super cute. I have previously sucked in random houseguests and gym buddies into doing the DD with me. I vaguely tried to interest the BF in one of the dares...but unfortunately it was one of the dorkier days (backfist punches). He didn't go for it.

 

Jumping kneetucks done with EC. Not sure why they made us do 30 jumping lunges but only 10 of these.

That's the cool thing about the DD. You try things you wouldn't normally try and you can surprise yourself with your abilities.

I know right? 

 

Jumping knee tucks done with EC. I actually really dislike tuck jumps on general principle. They just feel like an unnecessary escalation of force placed on your joints because they promote a hard landing.

Did the jump knee tuck for EC as part of my workout this morning.

Don't hate on the jumping knee tucks too much, they can really useful depending on your workout focus.  They are a great exercise for working on parkour vaults and precisions, and flips are impossible without first mastering these.  Even from an OCR perspective, these will help immensely for the over part of the OUTs and for quickly getting over low walls (and are even useful as a progression for throwing your legs up on the higher walls).
