Time for another challenge :D

I will be tracking everything in my spreadsheet (link in signature)

But I will provide updates in this thread as well.

It's just easier to keep track in sheets.

Goals

Keep watch

Not a specific diet goal. I just want to keep streaks going and be mindful about my food intake. I will keep a food log for this goal.

Drink plenty

Drink at least 2 bottles worth of water.

Bottles are equal to 2 glasses or cups.

It comes down to about 1 liter worth of water.

Walking

Get back into my walking routine! I can now walk again and I will aim for 1 time a week for 5 km.

Therapy exercises

Do them! Basically! Aiming for daily.

Exercises:

- half sit ups (belly muscles 1)

- half sideway sit ups (belly muscles 2)

- walking with feet while laying down (belly muscles 3)

- hip/butt stretching

Be creative

Be creative in some way at least 1 time each week. Drawing, writing, D&D etc.

Proper Chewing

I don't really chew my food. It upsets my stomach and just is a bad thing. I need to focus on my chewing every meal.

Right now I'm on my way to the gym for the first time in forever. I'm nervous and excited!
I won't be alone, my BF will meet me there :3
He also has all my stuff so I don't have to carry it in public transportation.

We're going there to cycle. Spinning ^^
I may quit early and then I can do therapy else I do that at home.
I have a mat for therapy at home finally and a convenient time. (After feeding the cats)

I can't wait for the gym near home to open though, as then it'll be even easier (10 min bike ride)
It has been announced, just not with a date.

Word. I'm trying to figure out how to slow down while eating, and chewing my food longer is on the list of tips and tricks, but... I never remember until I've cleaned my plate in five minutes and am surprised to be done already. Whoops...

Word. I'm trying to figure out how to slow down while eating, and chewing my food longer is on the list of tips and tricks, but... I never remember until I've cleaned my plate in five minutes and am surprised to be done already. Whoops...

With me it's not that I eat so fast, but my mouth is weird. I have this problem of my food just disappearing into my throat while chewing.......

Like my BF doesn't understand how I even manage. But somehow it slides backwards?

So I actually have to stop that from happening if I want to chew more than 2-3 times.

Hooray! Sounds like fun!! Go enjoy yourself and have a nice workout.

[emoji3] I managed to cycle for 20 mins. My foot got an old problem though, else I might've gone longer...

Next week we're gonna find out if shoe soles help.

I'm still happy/proud of what I did!

Here to see you work dem belly muscles [emoji6]

It's probably not as crazy as when you would do it XD

But did do all exercises yesterday!!

Nov 22nd

Food
Breakfast
2 Mandarins and 2 mugs of chocolate milk.
I was a little stressed for time to actually eat breakfast...
Lunch
2x bread with cheese and small yoghurt.
Tried to compensate and at least eat all food I had taken with me.
Dinner
Pasta, tomato sauce and carrots and bacon bits (yes I'm going for this term :P) and leek, and cheese mountain.
TV dinner ^^ we don't normally, but now we managed to watch 2 episodes of Mindhunter. :D

Goals
I didn't drink enough at work, I'm not counting the chocolate milk towards my drink goal.
I barely managed to finish my first bottle.
But to compensate I had two mugs of tea at home.
On that note eating went good, so yay!
Chewing dinner was nearly undoable, but I tried to be mindful about it regardless.
No therapy exercises done. Other goals are weekly.

^^ I'll go update my sheet. I like this more freeform writing. Hope you guys can still follow.

Food
Breakfast
2 Mandarins and bread with cheese
Lunch
Bread with cheese and yoghurt.
Dinner
Raisin & nuts bread stick, several small "snacks" & fruit.
At my parents we always eat this haha XD the snacks are like cold small meatballs, cream cheese wrapped with ham etc. I mostly only eat those two and my bread stick & fruit.

Goals
Food was according to plan ^^
At work I drank 1 bottle, 1 mug of tea and a mug of chocolate milk. I did refill my bottle and drank that partially, but did have the rest of the bottle at home and another mug of tea. Drank quite a bit ^^
Was really mindful of chewing, though it remains really tough. Pieces of fruit are nearly not doable.
No therapy exercises done (I was going to and then I forgot... Derp). Other goals are weekly.

Today has been a bad day.
And to top it off I managed to do 28 mins of spinning and it went really well, but I had to quit because of my foot issue -grumble-

I have all kinds of physical mayhem because of women's issues.

Everything went wrong at work.

And then even exercise sucked.

Oh no! That sounds pretty rough. Is there anything you like to do to relax or comfort yourself, like read or watch TV, that you could squeeze in to have at least one little bright moment in your day? When it feels like everything else is going wrong, sometimes having just one thing work out can be really helpful.

Couldn't agree with you more, Wobbegong. We've all had crappy days where we can literally witness ourselves"spiral out of control". It's overwhelming...but the good news? It can be defeated :)

Sorry about the foot woes, I know injuries that prevent you from doing stuff you enjoy can be very annoying. Today is a new day and I hope it's a great one! Let us know if we can help in anyway ;)

Bright moment ended up being a lovely dinner. And many hugs from my BF ^^
Dinner was so yummy ^^
Also a nice warm shower before that. My BF convinced me, I absolutely didn't want to... But it was nice.
And then I played some wajas before bed ^^
So thank you :D

Yeah the foot thing started earlier this year. I had hoped with all the things I did and being unable to bike at all this year, I could do so again.
Seems we have to try out another solution :(
It's so frustrating to always run into road blocks when exercising.

Thanks for the encouragement Wolf ^^

Today I've just been very absent minded...
But that's ok I suppose.
Tomorrow is a new day to focus.

Yesterday no cure was found for my foot :(
Last therapy session was had, I did get a tip for my foot there, so gotta test that out.

Work was funny as I messed up a little XD
I was in a discussion and tried to use a saying. It ended up being wrong, but hilarious.
Turns out I messed up my English and Dutch.
I combined the English saying "opening a can of worms" and the Dutch saying (translated) "opening a bearpit". They mean the same thing.
Either way it ended up as "opening a can of bears" XD one coworker just stayed in it I think.
So much for a serious discussion :D

Otherwise I've been doing quite well this challenge. More exercises done than last, but still not where I want to be. But progress is progress.

I held off on holiday snacks until now!! It's December 1st, so I may have a snack binge session at work [emoji14]
I'm just really proud I managed to stick to my principles. I've had snacks next to me for most of November.

As always I keep my spreadsheet updated with actual progress/food log/etc.

Yay! Thank you!!
I'm glad you're here!

I'm absolutely exhausted.
Yesterday was D&D which is tiring as I'm the DM and have to make everything running smoothly.
It also meant turning in late :(
But I have some good ideas for next session.
And I got to play the mom of one of my players XD it was so funny.
His gnome character is this chattery happy-go-lucky fellow.
You can imagine what his mom is like XDD

The problem I'm having is I make a combat that according to the rules is a hard or deadly challenge and they just wing it no problem.
But then I present them with a easy or medium one and they get partly slaughtered XD
So my bosses drop like flies and my random encounters nearly kill them...

But at least we're having fun. I have very forgiving players and it's the first campaign I'm leading.
My BF really helps with giving me feedback on how he perceives things / what his character thinks. So I can see where I need to adjust my story.
I have some fun ideas for next session thanks to this.

I feel myself slipping on the food side of things. I want to regain my agency. I will work on that.

That sounds like a lot of the D&D games I've played. Though a lot of our success against the bosses was through being sneaky or talking our way out of things. Or there would be one player trying to negotiate with the boss and another player throws a fireball from behind and nearly takes the boss and the other player out (while a third player is stealing all the loot while no one is looking, with no plans on sharing). The people I played with weren't always the best at cooperation...

What seems to be the slippery part?

Noticing the slip now before it avalanches is a great thing, Sif. I noticed I slipped with the food side of things this weekend and just decided to forget about messing up and make this upcoming week a good one. You got this. You're strong enough to beat out the Food Boss!

It's really cool to see you two not only playing D&D together but allowing your BF to help you constructively make that time more fun. Woot woot! Couples gaming together is so awesome!

It is, when you have the right group. I've had a few less than fun experiences, which was probably more due to personalities (and/or playing styles) clashing than anything else. But it's definitely worth trying when you have the chance.

Still exhausted. Sinterklaas celebration last night.
It's not gonna get better any time soon.
Today we have a work trip. Super excited about it, but it's gonna be late.
Tomorrow we go to my parents, so it's gonna be late.
I guess it's turning in early on Friday :|
Saterday is a free day and Sunday another Sinterklaas celebration, but then with friends.

On the bright side, I got a yummy sounding bottle of wine last night, along with a lot of chocolate ^^

Chocolate and wine are delicious and wonderful things! :D  I'm sorry you're exhausted and super busy!  ...Maybe eat lots of chocolate to get a sugar rush for energy? :P

D&D always sounds like such fun.

It is, when you have the right group. I've had a few less than fun experiences, which was probably more due to personalities (and/or playing styles) clashing than anything else. But it's definitely worth trying when you have the chance.

I absolutely love D&D!!
I also really like being a DM and telling my group a story/letting them figure out what's going on ^^
I have such fun with it. Also the prep and all that!

You can always count on me to encourage you AND stay enthusiastic about it [emoji4]

These are words that I LOVE to read about! Keep it up, Sif!

Wolf

Thanks Wolf!!
My sense of agency and decision making seems to be slipping. Like I was in control over my choices and what I did and didn't eat. But that seems to be falling and more going to a moment to moment basis. Idk. I feel like I'm less in control over my food choices.

And yeah I always loved playing all sorts of games with my BF! Even if he's better at them and always winning XD

They are :D
Haha that never works for me [emoji14]

Did Prison Island tonight and it was super fun!
Let's see how exhausted I am tomorrow.

Not too exhausted, but my legs sure are XD
Did a lot of squats I suppose.
Picking up a basketball off the ground, throwing it and repeat.
Only the ball was on the other side of prison bars. Soooo it was a bit tougher than it sounds.
But we got 83/100 points for it.
Loads of other physical/mental challenges done as well, but my legs hurt from that one most I think.
