Keeping the goals epically simple this round.... SO epically simple in fact, that they're probably just... simple. And not really epic. Like... at all. All the same, it's 100% what needs to happen. Pass/Fail. 

 

1) Drink 40oz of water every day.

That's right, 40. My water habits have gotten so atrocious that I need to make this super easy. I expect that once the habit is in check I'll drink more, but for now, I need an easy win to start. 

 

2) Do NOT drink alcohol 2 nights per week.

3 is better. I'll be happy with 2.

 

3) Go 1 for 1 as per the warrior mini when I do drink booze.

Sooooo I had a very distressing dream this morning where I was told that I needed to lose 20-30#. It's... scary that weighing in in the low 80s once made sense to me. As an adult I once dipped into the 70s. This is very dangerous territory. It's very distressing that a dream reporter with a video camera telling me I need to be X in order to have a valid voice... ugh, made it stuck with me all day. Fake news? UGH.

 

I woke up with a pretty nasty scratched up throat, and did all the things today to try to nip it in the bud from becoming a cold. I drank the tea with the honey, took the cold calm, sat in the steam room, had some whiskey... cause that helps. It just does.

 

I'm looking at new programs, specifically body building splits that I can adapt. I'm open to opinions and accounts of experiences of course and would gratefully welcome them! And I'm afraid this is the reason I had this bad dream... too much poking around the body building you tubes. Volume appeals to me atm, with a zeroing in on core strength that I can has application to other activities pls. But the fitspo pressures and such are right out. I just wanna go lift and be merry!

 

Water today was solid. Booze not so much. round 3, not going 1 for 1. Today will be a fail.

Are you familiar with 3DMJ?  They have an excellent YouTube channel with a bunch of free content.  I really like Alberto Nunez and Jeff Alberts a lot.  Both are natural bodybuilders with really balanced eating/training/living and they seem to practice what they preach.  I've learned a ton from both of them.  They both share a bunch about their personal programming, and Alberto just released an intermediate bodybuilding program that might be worth looking into.

$0.02 - that reporter sounds like it was probably your old subconscious coming back to haunt you. you KNOW you do not need to lose that weight. and you're probably right in identifying that photos alongside bodybuilding programs did not help.

 

i'm sorry you had to think about that all day :( it's draining. because i know you've been trying very hard to be okay with however many lbs you currently are. so when a different number starts following you around like a storm cloud it's ... the kind of day to go snuggle on the couch with a blanket.

 

anyway, just trying to say i feel you and we're here for you. also, i've asked for this book for the holidays in the hopes that it will help me out. the author is definitely worth at least instagram peeking :)

Subconscious issues die hard. A twisted version of having lost weight and fearing regain + an inner voice trying to convince you that you need external validation when you're already good to go. Nope.
