Machete's Hierarchy of Needs: Physiology, Part 7

Machete

Recommended Posts

I refuse to start on January 1.

I'm continuing my last challenge. Life is getting crazy, and I'm trying to schedule my time wisely by listing down the weekly priorities.

I'm completely out-sourcing my training to GB by following the recommended format:

Monday: Core

Tuesday: Middle Split
Wednesday: Front Split, Lower Body

Thursday: Upper Body

Friday: Bridge, Handstand

I'll also be hitting a Snatch Test once a week for maintenance.

Main Quest: Foundation Building

Chore List:

Laundry - Wednesday and Saturday morning

Dishes - Wednesday and Saturday morning

Sweep and dust once a week

Grocery and cooking on Sunday

Taking out the dogs once a day

Trash once a week

Junk mail/email once a week

Bathroom cleaning once a week

Eliminate tabs on browser

Read for 15 minutes a day

Misc:

Daily Instagram and Facebook post

Bi-weekly Coaching updates

Big Tasks:

Living Room - boxes of papers, books, old magazines, etc.

Closet - sort clothes, throw away other clothes

Weekly Schedule - install whiteboard, figure out priorities

Repair Laptop and external HD, set up workspace

Find place to stay at in Ft. Lauderdale

Tracking down your elusive challenges is always a delight. Here for amazing stuff and embarassing tunes :P

Semi-embarassing. Speaking of which, I already have one:

Sounds like a pretty solid (and full!) plan! :D (Any plan where doggos are involved is automatically a win! ;))

They always work themselves into my plans anyway. So needy. Haha

Guile's theme isn't embarassing, it's awesome!

Your list thing looks a lot like my no-frills Bullet Journal. Not sure how it'll work for you, but it's been a game changer for me.

I used to talk to mine on all occasions anyway. She loved her baths (and the taste of spilled shampoo)

Absolutely. How else are you going to convince the half German shepherd half great dane to not drag you down the hall.?

I am admittedly a crazy cat lady but I talk to my cat kind of non-stop. I wouldn't bathe her, though, that's her job. I'll just tell her anecdotes and jokes.

Quite the list! Monday seems to be a pretty productive day in general, at least for me.

I think a lot of stuff spills over from Sunday for me. Still can't manage to be productive on a Sunday.

They seem calm. It just happens instinctively. Yeah, mostly a bunch of jokes and stuff. And attempts to tell them not to drink the bathwater.

Peanut butter is usually my go-to with these two. Suddenly they understand every command when the PB is out.

Isn't that the point of pets? Someone to talk to that won't accuse you being crazy?

Also, as always, beast mode stuff on that Snatch Test. I would have been on the floor after a minute at most.

Try it with Guile's Theme. You'll probably finish. :D (The comments are hilarious, by the way.)

So hard to find your challenges sometimes! Sneaky Assassin.

I do not generally talk to my dog. I do however, spend a lot of time arguing with my cat - generally about the number of treats she needs on any given day.

I really like your checklist set up this challenge!

Selected comments from Guile Theme Song.

Quote

I was eating pasta with a russian friend when this song played, I am now eating a cheeseburger, and my russian friend is now eating capitalism, a flashkick, and JUSTICE.

Im proud to be american everytime I hear guile`s theme, and Im not even american

I thought it would be funny to play this on loop. Since then I finished all of my work, repaired my own car, and also defeated communism.

This makes me embarrassed of not being American.

I was doing up my belt while this was playing, now it's the world heavyweight championship

I played this on a public airplane, it became a fighter jet with giant eagle wings.

I listened to this while cutting onions. The onions started crying.

I like the format you are using to knock things off your list.  I may borrow that in the future.  It's a way to keep things you need to get done staring you in the face.
What is meant by out-sourcing to GB?

Current Challenge

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.
Diet is 80% of losing weight, exercise is 80% of motivation.

The only thing I am 100% sure of is my ability to be wrong.

GymnasticBodies. I'm trying to follow the program to the letter.

============================================================================

Productivity looks like it dropped-off as the week progressed. Car trouble, traffic jams, and the new quotas of starter sessions I need to reach at work might be getting to me. (I apparently am unable to make people take a one-on-one session that they already paid for as part of their membership. Considering my late dating life, I am not surprised.) However at the same time I just got the welcome email to assist as an instructor at an SFG event, and another, more experienced SFG has just reached-out to me and asked me for help in programming and training for his Level 2. I feel out of my depth, or Impostor Syndrome has been hitting me extra hard lately. I must tread lightly.

Anyway, I need to hit 20 sessions this month, and I have 1, with 2 scheduled next week. I've been that annoying guy asking everyone if they've done their starter session, but I guess that's what it takes.

I might try to add extra constraints on the list next week like timelines and schedule blocks.

So someone on the Women's Academy FB page was asking for kettlebell training advice. Is Simple & Sinister like the program to use?

It's a minimalist program--the exercises with the most carryover, devoid of entertainment value. But yeah, it might be the closest one could get to a catch-all for kettlebell programming.
