Inazea kicks 2018's behind

Recommended Posts

Good bye, 2017, you won't be missed.

This year had a lot of ups and downs, I didn't get much further in my studies, had to move back in with my mom due to money problems but I found 2 jobs I enjoy and thus don't have to get into debt which is great. I hardly achieved any of my goals which is mainly due to mental health issues, my former GP brushed off the depression I've been suffering from for over 2 years now as if it was nothing.

And that is why my focus the first third of this year (and thus also of this challenge) lies on getting better. I switched the GP and have an appointment on the 2nd, hoping I'll finally get some treatment.

Since, in order to not go completely insane, moving out again is also an important step to take towards getting better, that will be my second priority.

Diet:

  • track intake

Fitness:

  • strength training 3x/week
  • at least 10 minutes of stretching every day
  • go for one run
    • go for 3 runs
    • go for 5 runs
    • go for 7 runs

Life:

  • no cancelling on student without a good reason
  • check the newspaper and internet for suitable places at least twice a week
  • read two books I've borrowed
  • skin care routine 3x/week
  • using my bullet journal daily

Bonus quests:

  • ace that Chemistry colloquium
  • make sure those damn student loan people finally give me that loan
  • make further necessary appointments for treatment/therapy/etc.

I left it pretty vague with the whole treatment/therapy thing but since it can take a while until you get to go to a psychiatrist and therapist around here, I just want to make sure that I at least get appointments, to get the ball rolling.

Good luck with your new GP and getting those appointments! (And on the rest of your challenge too.)

Thanks! It really was about time, gonna talk to her tomorrow and hope she takes me more seriously.

Didn't have internet for the past couple of days, the lack of Netflix really saddened me.

Anyways: this GP is amazing! She asked a bit about symptoms and then gave me a referral for a psychiatrist and a therapist, and she asked how my cats were doing during New Year's Eve and New Year and said she was grateful I want to take those steps with her.

I feel like so much stress fell off of me after that appointment.

God, I did horribly this challenge. At least when it came to checking in. Haha... Though I checked off (or didn't) my goals in my journal so I did work on my goals, etc., I just felt like I didn't have the energy to go online in the evening.

Anyways...

Tracking my intake was horrible this challenge but I honestly was happy if I even ate anything apart from my pre and post workout food.

Also I FINALLY went for that run! And I'm super glad I did because it made me realize why I loved it so much.

When I started this challenge I didn't really think about the timing of the colloquium seeing as it's on the 16th this month so of course I couldn't have achieved that.
