Week 1 – Monday

 

slept in for a nice 8.5hrs sleep.

 

food was okay, snacked a bit too much probably. made some white chicken chili for dinner and future lunches.

 

did some yoga and a minute of bar hanging.

 

eat out: 2/7

workouts: 0/5

bar hangs: 1/6

sunday yoga: 1/5; 10/65

i do not read before bed. i know a lot of people can do this and it puts them in a good place to be sleepy but it doesn't work for me! i play a mindless phone game for about 10-15 minutes while 2.5 grams of melatonin kicks in (half of an extra strength dose). i also typically go to bed at 9pm lolzzz

I tried that, even with night light enabled on my phone, still kept me up. Probably due to it being interactive. With reading, it's passive, save the clicking of the page advance button on my Oasis. So, easier for me to get my brain unwound from the day. (Not accounting for getting sucked into the story....) 

I used to have a 2100 bedtime, but found I felt worse on 8 hours of sleep than I do with 6, so bedtime was moved back to 2300.

White chicken chili is a winter fave! For some reason, even when I get really burnt out on regular chili, white chicken chili warms my heart. Plus, green chilis are <3. Are you offering a mail order service on food delivery to us warriors yet? We need a food co-op.

 

This makes me want to make green chile chicken enchiladas next week.

same! i was too stingy on the seasonings this go round though. 2 fresh jalapenos and a 4oz jar of green chilies is not the correct ratio for 3lbs of chicken thighs. i did add white beans and kale but those have no flavor. more chilies and cumin next time!

I’ve been making these coconut flour bfast bars and the best combination has been banana & cranberry. deeeelicious (15pro/12fiber). leftover beef stew for lunch. leftover pho, berries, chicharrones, and jerky for snacks. dinner was roasted chicken and asparagus. totally meant to have quinoa with it but I forgots.

 

got a load of laundry through the wash and dryer (will need to fold tonight), did my bar hangs and yoga, and got to bed on time.

It went out of business, it didn't do well in the city. But we have 93759t7262 barbecue places.... *Sighs*

welllll it's not really a "bar" and i haven't tried them cold! I make and portion them on the weekends and reheat them when i get to work for bfast. but here's the recipe anyway! you make be able to adjust it around if you're good with baking (i am terrible at baking)

eggs for protein and to help soak up the coco flour which i've been told always needs extra liquid. the "meal replacement" is just a hefty protein powder ~25g of it. i got a bunch of samples from a recent race but you can definitely skip it. i've also subbed pumpkin puree for the bananas which was good but less sweet. you could probably do any fruit/dried fruit/nuts combo. oh! and 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp baking powder. the iteration above is really tasty, like a soft banana bread.

 

i should mention that this was based off of @Taddea Zhaan's oatmeal bake recipe where she uses 3 cups of oats instead of the coco flour and 12 eggs.

doh! you'd probably like to know how to actually make it? lol

 

i mix all the dry ingredients in a huge bowl. all the wet ingredients (including banana or pumpkin) go into my vitamix for a quick blitz. then i slowly mix in the wet. pour into a greased casserole dish. make it nice and even. then bake at 350F for ~35 minutes. here's what it typically looks like when you plop the craisins on top right before baking:
