Week 1 – Wednesday

 

treadmill HIIT type thing. warmed up and then did intervals of 6mph at 3% incline. total 36mins, 2.99 miles, climbed 321 feet.

 

bar hangs and yoga when I got home. also watched/practiced this video I pinned awhile back to check off that box of watching helpful videos once per week

 

 

 

I made dinner with leftover rotel/velveeta dip. basically I just poured it into a pan with sautéed beef and spinach. it brought me back to my hamburger helper days.

 

eat out: 2/7

workouts: 2/5

bar hangs: 3/6

sunday yoga: 1/5; 35/65

Week 1 – Thursday

 

gymmmeddd was supposed to bench but my traps and delts were really sore. from DLs? I guess. so I did squats!

 

back squats

step up with knee raise

after work was our “holiday” party so no yoga or bar hanging. I got pretty obliterated on vodka sodas and forgot to eat food except for a small piece of focaccia. this was not smart as I haven’t felt this bad from drinking in ages.

haha thanks! yeah they've been doing the party in January for the past couple years. I assume bc December is so busy and it's really just an excuse for us all to be social outside of work.

also, of note, i woke up with my left ankle verrrry swollen and sore to the touch. i wonder if i did something while squatting yesterday or drinking last night.

JEEEZ, don't you know you have to eat to perform even in drinking? ;) I'M WITH YOU THO, THIS CLASSIC ROOKIE MISTAKE creeps up on the best of us sometimes.

yeah i totally could have twisted it last night. i do remember a point at the bar when i had some really bad foot cramps in the same foot lolz probs unrelated but just as strange.

 

in any case, not sure what to do for cardio with a twisted ankle...

IKR?! I was just so distracted by fun times and the food seemed like a hassle i didn't want to deal with. all i could think of when struggling this morning was please don't do this in Austin lol

okayyyyy so the weekend.

Week 1 – Friday
 
out of sheer force of will I made it to work after the night of vodka sodas. rough day is rough.
 
got home and cooked up a buff chick dip for a friends bday and baked a frozen pizza for dinner. had a good night at the bday friend's house and nursed one cider over 4.5 hrs.

Week 1 – Saturday
 
made it to the gym with my poor sprained/bruised/twisted ankle.

went home and cooked up a bfast with leftovers: ground beef, mushrooms, kale, and tomato sauce. i added some flax seed for good measure since I knew i'd be eating at a restaurant for dinner later. also brought an apple with me to nom for extra fiber.
 
headed off to meet some friends for boda borg which is sweden's version of escape rooms. it was a blasssstttt. then pad thai for dinner while watching the foosball game.

Week 1 – Sunday
 
didn't really end off week 1 well. since I have today off work it made me extra lazy yesterday. woke up at freaking 11am first of all. haven't done that in foreverrrr. went grocery shopping. chipotle for brunch. leftover buff chick dip for lunch. halo top for dinner. we did get a huge load of laundry done and batch cooked some chuck roast with cabbage for lunches this week. and i hit my fiber so some positives. otherwise i did 1 min of bar hanging and no yoga.
