More of the same ol, same ol. I'm not looking back, just looking forward. Between now and Feb 4th I will have:

 

- [HALFWAY THERE] Been paid twice, and made the appropriate repayments to my debts (2x each $150 NZ, $50 Computer). BONUS: acquire some additional funding from questionable sources and added to the repayments (it's probably can/bottle collecting. why not get paid to trash-bash? Or renting out the carspace, it's just sitting there, so why not?) to knock them over faster.

- [COMPLETE] Applied for study leave. I'm entitled to it, I've never been knocked back before, and I was approved for a sponsorship so work is already paying for the subjects, it would be foolish not to apply for leave so I have time to study those subjects.

- [COMPLETE] Read over my eligibility for a raise, and begin gathering evidence to support it. [I am not eligible to apply for a raise myself, I need to be nominated by my superiors. I will discuss with them at my performance planner meeting that it is my intention to strive for accelerated progression].

- [PARTIALLY COMPLETE] Find out if my PT is changing gyms [he is]. If so cancelling current gym membership [30days in writing, not yet written] and switching back to the gym with the sauna for big savings but also big discipline testing. 

- [PARTIALLY COMPLETE]Participated in the Ranger Mini. [WEEK 1 COMPLETE - Outdoors] [WEEK 2 COMPLETE - Speed] [WEEK 3 - Strength] [WEEK 4 - ???]

- Brushed my teeth 33+ times (once+ per day)

[COMPLETE] - Eaten Vegetarianly 10+ times (twice+ per week) [BONUS ROUND] 20 times?

 

That should be enough to get me started.

Woot woot! Happy to see ya, Yasha :). You steadfastness with brushing your teeth is great. As I get older I find myself having to consciously think about brushing my teeth at least once a day.

thank you! Over Christmas I managed to rent out the car space for 3 weeks for a total of $60... for the fact that I don’t have to -do- anything to earn that money it’s definitely a winner in my books

Back at my parents for a funeral (great grandmother at age 98, so more respectful than sad) so will need to figure out some way to get something outdoors in for the mini challenge...

Day 3~ funeral went ok, lots of driving back and forth... brushed my teeth twice because I was going to be hugging people at the funeral and then because Mr got back from his week long stint in America and I wanted to be fresh for all the smooching.

I also remained vegetarian focussed. I almost fell for a tuna sammich, but I realised as I went to pick it up that it was a meaty meaty trap.

Back to work, it was an ok day, still pretty busy. I did a grounding exercise in my lunch break in the botanic gardens, I haven’t found my way back to the Ranger mini to post my mini goals yet, but two outdoor grounding exercises is my outdoors mini goal.

- I also wrote up my application for study time, I just need to get it signed off by the senior manager then I can apply. I also enrolled in my subject for this upcoming session and thankfully have only one class to schedule in on a Wednesday afternoon.

Week 1- Saturday. A good day. Spent some time in the morning on the forums catching up on other’s threads. Did a little laundry and dishes then once it wasn’t tooooo scorching went for a swim. I was on lap 6 when I got a foot cramp and was considering calling it quits, but 6 didn’t feel like a good number to stop on so I decided to push for 10 and ended up doing the whole 20 I had planned- that’s a kilometre! Mind over matter to be sure, lucky the cramp didn’t happen on lap 5! After my swim I lay on the beach and did the grounding meditation, at two points I broke concentration to sit up and check that the super loud noise from the lifeguard’s beach buggy wasn’t a warning that I was about to be run over, but otherwise quite relaxing. On the walk home I did a small amount of trash-bashing and added the cans/bottles to my wheelie bag ready to take and cash in tomorrow. I also reviewed a little of my Chinese textbook because I don’t want to lose what I learned so far.

 

Teeth, yus 6/33

Veggo, yus 5/10 on track to smash this goal... I spoke with Mr about this last night actually, he asked if I was still trying to be vegetarian and I umm’ed and ahh’ed and figured out that I have a bit of an aversion to actually calling myself that (???) I purposefully had meat on the 1st so that it wasn’t a ‘2018 the year of the vegetarian’ thing, but more or less I am currently behaving as a vegetarian... I just can’t bypass the environmental cost of (particularly red) meat at the moment... but the big risk for me is making sure I don’t substitute cheese for anything meaty because that wreaks havoc on my jiggle-level... I might also have to look into some ummm digestive aids (I’m thinking tea or peppermints or something) because today after vegetarian Indian food last night I am (and anyone in smelling distance of me is) suffering some stinky emissions, tolerable on the weekend but not once I’m back in the office setting! D:

 

The Krav Maga instructor posted on Facebook today that he is going to call us tomorrow and ask us to set (up to max 3 of each) goals for 2months, 6months and 12months... I had a little think and I’m thinking I will set a 2mth goal of 150% of my current 1min AMRAPs of squats, pushups, sit-ups, wall-to-wall runs (ie if I can do 10 then in two months I want to do 15, if I can do 30 then in two months I want to do 45 etc) I think it’s really important to have a cardio goal in there because it is really my downfall and if something were to happen I am not confident that I could run away after dealing with the threat. My 6 and 12mth goals I am going to ask him if he thinks it is reasonable to be graded at those benchmarks and if so set gradings 1&2 as those goals.

 

Peaceful (when the lifeguards weren’t zooming about in their beach buggy) beach scene...

Stayed up too late by accident so heading to bed without a real write up. Just a quick note to say it’s horrifically hot here today (one town in my state hit 52c) and I was waiting for it to get cool before I did anything... it’s 10.30 and still not cool yet :/

Honestly I don’t know... I tend to sort of forget that it is there, waiting patiently for me to come and pay it attention.

I got up just to brush my teeth so I could say I did. Counting that as a win.

Epic storm came up tonight out of nowhere and I stood on the balcony for a bit in the driving rain watching the lightning bare chested and with the wind blowing a gale, it was very exhilarating- I should go out in bad weather more often. I think I startled the mourners coming out of the funeral home across the road but that’s ok. Then later the storm passed and the sun shone through as it was setting and it was quite dramatic.
