Discipline

A good assassin practices discipline, and great assassin lives it. Instead of focusing on different aspects of being an assassin,

Snuggles needs to focus on improving the discipline in her life. She needs to focus on the things she can control and actively change.

Physical #1: Working on the back. I have joined a Pilates group that meets twice a week. I also want to get back into my physical therapy.

Week #1 of my challenge: Focus on physical therapy 3 times

Week #2 of my challenge: Focus on physical therapy 4 times & Pilates twice

Week #3 of my challenge: Focus on physical therapy 5 times & Pilates twice

Week #4 of my challenge: Focus on physical therapy 6 times & Pilates twice

Week #5 of my challenge: Focus on physical therapy 7 times & Pilates twice

Physical #2: I need to do something physical every day.  Things to include are walking at least 2 miles, hiking, weight training,

knife practice or something else.

Week #1 of my challenge: 3 times a week

Week #2 of my challenge: 4 times a week

Week #3 of my challenge: 5 times a week

Week #4 of my challenge: 6 times a week

Week #5 of my challenge: 7 times a week

Bonus: I would like to average at least 70k steps a week and 10k a day! Prize to be determined…

Diet: Snuggles needs to start interacting with food in good ways again. I need to eat breakfast 6 days a week. Sunday Brunch

is acceptable if I get at least a piece of fruit early.

Tracking is King: Finally Snuggles needs to start incorporating her many interests into her daily routine. (The To-Do Chart has

returned!) In the past my chore chart is a wonderful indicator of what works and where I need work. It gives me a weekly visual

so I know very quickly where I need to focus my energies. I will use this along with my Fit-bit to track food and activities. Activities

include French, Knife Defense, Knitting, Lockpicking, Game Night, etc.

I’m imagining you doing all these activities at once, somehow...

Health Pack Acquired -

For this challenge I wanted to get away from the soda and juice I had been drinking and get back into water and tea. I discovered my tea store is closing Sunday so I did a huge shop and should have enough to last me through the summer. I'm a bit disappointed that I wont be able to get fresh tea every month, but at least I will have my favorite tea while I jump start my fitness goals.

Week 1 Sum-up-

Food - I did very well with making my meals and with water and veggie intake. I need to work a bit harder on my fruit intake and watching my calories.

Activities - I need to work on daily physical therapy, walking 10k steps and some sort of daily fitness. I only managed to hit 10k steps 3 times this week and failed to complete a full set of physical therapy stretches. I did managed to get out and be physically active 3 times last week though so that is a start.

Tracking - Logging has been very successful with both activities and food.

Yesterday was a great hit for nutrition and hydration. I also logged everything and got my 10k steps in. Today I will be starting my Pilates class and I need to focus on prepping my 3, 20 page term papers. If I have time, I also want to spend about an hour cleaning my space to help me focus better on my homework. Ohh, I also need to read 4 chapters for class tomorrow night! Busy day!

The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a mixed bag. I've done great with my Pilates Classes, but I didn't get other physical therapy in. I also having a hard time with my tracking. I have done well with eating breakfast though.

My greatest challenge right now though is watching too much TV. I have been binge watching hours upon hours of TV and I really need to focus on my school

work. I have put holds on both my Netflix and Hulu accounts and am adjusting some personal time to focus on my Term Papers.

Term Paper 1: 12-15 pages, A Qualitative Analysis of the Career & Internship Center. with 2 interviews. Due Feb 26

Term Paper 2: 12-15 pages, a Qualitative Research Study of the Men's Rights movement Due March 15

Term Paper 3: 13-15 pages, a Policy Memo addressing the Champions Program, with 1 interview, Due March 13

Term Paper 4: 18-20 pages, a Document & Literature Review of Women in Leadership in Higher Education, Due March 16

In addition to my weekly classwork, I am prepping for a hiring fair at the end of February and am hoping to have 15-20 interviews scheduled and 50 job applications completed. I currently have 35 applications done and 1 interview scheduled.

To say I'm stressed is a bit of an understatement. I think I may need to focus more on getting my papers and applications done. To support this, I need to make sure I'm sleeping well, eating regularly and getting some physical activities in. I will also set aside 1 weekend afternoon and evening to go out with my boyfriend to support my emotional well-being.

This last challenge was a bit of a fail.

image.jpeg.e8f386f43a02b873483de8aef2b1c88b.jpeg

This quarter of graduate shool has been a bit overwhelming and this is also the time I need to focus on job hunting for after graduation. I'm terrified that I wont find a job and can't tind the place to start with my school work. As a result, I have hidden and binged on Netflix instead. This last week I have been averging less than 5 hours of sleep a night. My diet has also been horibal. Not only do I struggle to cook, I have extreamly limited fridge space so prepping meals in advance is almost impossible.

My next challenge will have to focus on self care.
